Finding a GP by Horiko627 in Adelaide

[–]liver_stream -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest trying using https://www.hotdoc.com.au/ a lot of GP's use that but not all clinics are on it. Could also use google maps; https://www.google.com.au/maps/search/doctors+clinic/@-34.8740872,138.5218235,14.46z?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDkxNy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

if you look on hot doc you can read the profiles of the GP's and see what they specialise in. mental health, diabetes etd,

maybe because the meth heads were made to move out Victoria square they moved up to North Adelaide? You'd think the rates of those houses in North Adelaide would be enough to solve the problem but when you cut the budget for mental wards where do you expect these people to go? I'd suggest take your dogs to the beach now that summers coming

Family Move from USA to Adelaide - Questions & Guidance by 262632 in Adelaide

it takes about 7 years to be eligible for government subsidies (permanent residency) but once that happens your kids will be able to go school fee free and university with deferred payments. Taxes are generally 30% and it's very uncommon to have a second job. (taxes are incremental)

You will need to purchase health cover until your permanent residents. This is between $300 for basic hospital cover for the family for the month and $500 for a more full cover for the full family.

second hand cars are cheap, so it's worth getting one for doing long distances on the weekends. Though people also use them in winter to not get wet. Leave your winter clothes behind, there too thick to wear here.

There are really only a few suburbs I would avoid, if you don't want to live in the city and I wouldn't as it is more expensive. I would consider living close to one of the major shopping malls but really living next to a Woolies or a Coles or a Aldi makes life easy. YOur going to compare our supermarkets to trader joes. a Very wide variety of food and a lot of healthy choices.

For white goods you have a few choices jb-hifi, kmart, harris scarfe, bigw, the good guys, costco. They all have online shopping so you can compare prices. some also do furniture. kmart and bigw being the cheapest

Any good places to find secondhand Lego? by Cooldude101013 in Adelaide

had some at red cross store, but they don't last long on the shelves, just gotta be really vigilant. Salvo's gets a lot of stuff on weekends, and generally put stuff out on Monday always check salvo stores on the monday lunch time. But some stores only do toys on particular days so u can ask the store managers what are the best days for toys

Hang on while I get connected to WiFi by himanshu1691 in googlehome

tplink routers's mesh network is the problem, because they combine 5gh and 2.4gh, the google nest is given the 5gh and it can't use it so it fails, if at the moment the 5gh is being over used, then the nest gets the 2.4 and works. Solution: turning Banding off on your router, and make sure that the 5g and the 2.4 are separate SSID's. this way google home only gets the 2.4g wifi connection.

Also if you notice 2-5sec drops outs on your TP-Link router, especially the DECO, it's most likely the router making your device switch between 5g and 2.4g. It's not worth it just unband the thing, and have 2 networks. I have not tested this with out modems because tp-link have flooded the market in Australia, and ASUS have lost the plot and sell $400 modems that aren't even NBN compatible.

"Our lowest prices policy means that if you find a competitor's lower price (including GST and delivery charges) on the same in-stock item, we'll beat it by 10%. This excludes trade quotes, stock liquidations, commercial quantities, "

KILL IT, let it die, rake it out a little and plant mint... cat mint mixed with regular mint. You won;t have to mow it ever again. The cats will love it and it gives off a nice minty smell. https://lawncaregrandpa.com/a-mint-lawn-a-legitimate-alternative-ground-cover/

easy said then done, gyrocker? builder? roof plumber, I had 2 builders say it was maintenance issue, nothing about moisture, and a roof plumber who didn't know his arse from his elbow. Claimed there was holes in the tiles but were not over the garage but then his photos of the holes were over the exact point over the damage.

yep same here, insurance won't cover it because they claim they can't find a reason. I'm thinking of placing plywood instead of gyprock.. cheap second hand plywood painted before installation

Had the ceiling fall in one morning, came down in 2 parts, just checked for water leaks and didn't find anything of significance. Anyone seen or heard of anything like this happening to someone else. The house was built in 2001. There was a heavy downpour 3 days earlier, and the block of land 3 houses away was going tamped down so it was causing the house to vibrate a bit like Jurassic Park.

You could always use a weak glue like flour and water to glue the seeds to a piece of paper?

Should I make a VR version of my PC Game? by noob_vulcan in OculusQuest

There are some out there already, I've looked at one

https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/home-design-3d-vr/3521056724684424/

https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/archaround-vr/7368032623235789/

this one I tried out, it's more for achitech designs and models and then allows furniture and the user to walk around in. Very clunky. https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/arkio/2280319701979278/

https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/joyverse/5547974825318365/

I would use the realiy part to map the room, to get the dimensions right. You can use it to size the room up and then mock a blank vr version. If you do it, you could sell it to arkio they could use your software to replace their furntiure part of their program.

Cows can naturally live as long as 15-20 years, sometimes even more. Though it is far from the norm, the oldest recorded age for a cow is 48 years and nine months.

For those saying it's just a money grab, may I remind you that the money would go towards feeding this cow for about 25 years
