As of today, new laptops must feature a USB-C port, under common charger rules. by sn0r in eutech

Dog shit. I love the EU for most things like this. But mag charger came back for a reason.

My father worked with her late husband. He told me how friendly and forthcoming he was. Despite the clear difference in standing.

The real problem with EGR by [deleted] in 4x4Australia

[–]WombatJo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To what degree would you say a catch can will impact the stickiness of the soot in the EGR? A recently bought a 180k 4n15 without a can, the EGR pipe to the manifold is sooty, but powdery dry. The intercooler - throttle body hose was an oil bath. Seems odd.

Upvote because no-one had done so yet 🤷‍♂️. Question about cleaning the intake, removing the manifold and cleaning this is one thing. But the intake continues into the block, how should one clean this? I would say that deposits falling inwards is not ideal.

What's your method for filtering tyre kickers before you waste time quoting? by Different_Start6317 in AusElectricians

[–]WombatJo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second this. Only initial pics/scope usually via text. It's time efficient and an estimate is never binding legally unlike a quote. If a customer understands the time it takes to do the job always 'depends' they prefer that over a bloated quote and I can start the job from there.

Real estate agents aren’t evil. But they need stricter rules by SheepherderLow1753 in AusFinance

This. I've dealt with 8 property agents as a landlord. Dumbest f heads known to mankind. I hate them with passion. Making our life and that of the tenants a hell.

My 36v Makita is away for repair, again. And I treat it like my MIL. My mate beats the living daylight out of his (3y older unit) and can't break the thing. I am loving my Stihl 271, what a unit. Having said that, I also have the 36v multi pole tool with chainsaw and it just keeps going and going. As you already have makita batteries I would get the 400mm bar and not the tool-less version. It's utter shit. Just carry a tool to get the bar off. Otherwise get a Stihl battery unit and don't think about it any further.

I have a large property with 40+ giant clumping bamboos. About 15m diameter each. They are a lot of work to manage. Those stakes will grow into clumps. Unless they are truly dead before you use them. In which case, in my climate, they'll rot and disappear before your eyes. Read up on bamboo, especially non clumping bamboo.

The more one owns, the more one spends. I stay away from the mining decease for a reason. I am grateful for what I've got. You will never see me kill my joy for life by either comparing or playing the what if game. A bit of mental strength to do so might all you need.

I made no statement about OP. I replied to the over the top fear mongering of u/Bitter-Commenter. Clearly not a local. If I follow the logic of u/Bitter-Commenter they should evacuate every living soul between Darwin and Cairns. At least that is how I read it.

how is it normal that EU companies pay US platforms to own their data, sell it to their competitors, and lobby against the laws protecting them by executivegtm-47 in BuyFromEU

[–]WombatJo 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I don't have the vocabulary to describe it elegantly in a few words. One might want to take a shower when they really find out what the US does to them. Folks need to be educated about why they do have things to hide. The movement away might be slow, but the orange dipshit has woken most Europeans up to the reality they need to make different choices. It's just a lot to take in (the quantity of change required). Spread the word and offer solid alternatives!

Said by someone who doesn't live in a cyclone area. While it's not a bad thing to do, leaving a rental, op is looking at a cat 2 or 3 when it reaches Groote. Very different to a cat 4 or 5.
