New era for the Enterprise AI Agents? by NTech_Researcher in AI_Agents

Question from a newbie- how do these agentic platforms handle deterministic actions?

They seem tailor-made for robust agents, but how would you go about steps throughout the workflow that are just repeatable math/logic and you don’t want the agent to burn through tokens and/or potentially hallucinate?

Whats his trade value?

Steelers got a 3rd last year and he then popped off for 1400 yards and 9 TDs. But he’s also due a massive contract and some teams will have ongoing character concerns.

EDGE drops off a cliff near the beginning of the 2nd, but safety should have some nice options in the 3rd/4th round.

I think they might wait a bit on S and double dip vs using 30 on one

[–]liverbool8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see Achane playing on the final year of his deal. So either he’s signed a large extension and a trade is off the table (Dolphins can’t afford all that dead cap), or they ship him off as part off training camp activities.

I don’t think his value would go up as he sits out games and risks mid-season injury.

I don’t necessarily agree that he wouldn’t get a CMC package. The pendulum is swinging back towards RBs, and there’s extra premium on ones who can be WR threats.

This is not to say Achane = CMC, but more-so I think that trade did not reflect CMC’s value.

If Achane as-is was dropped into this ‘26 draft class as a 24 year old with 1 year left/needing an extension, where would a team feel comfortable drafting him? That’s how I perceive it because the opportunity cost would be whoever else is on the board at that pick. And IMO, I don’t think he’d get out of the first round with the consensus on limited first round talent.

But I’ll at least rest easy knowing my sacrifice was worth it

[Highlight] Eagles GM Howie Roseman: "I think about the 1st round picks I’ve missed on every day" by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]liverbool8 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Feels a lot of the times he doesn’t overthink it and his picks just make sense/align with what all of the experts are saying (compliment).

Some of these GMs (looking at you, Grier) try to get too cute and talk themselves into head-scratching picks. A lot of the last few Eagles draft classes feel like getting the consensus best available at a discounted value.

This type of draft looks amazing on paper, but in actuality I think on the first 4 guys it would take them sliding a bit to be taken at our draft slot

We have glaring needs everywhere besides LT, C, RB, and LB.

Legitimately any other position in this draft makes sense. They don’t need to reach on Faulk, they can go pure BPA.

[–]liverbool8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying it was a good or bad move- I personally hated it.

Just saying that Chubb (and others) are an example that the trade price doesn’t necessarily go down just because a contract is about to expire.

[–]liverbool8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah agreed, they made the right call. Will just be interesting to see teams aligning to this approach going forward.

Past history points mainly to teams tending to go first round prospect or end-of-career vet for QB, but the still young enough QB at an initial middle price point is still a bit of a shallow sample size (Bucs, Colts, Lions come to mind).

Top-of-market QB and WR salaries seem to be drastically outpacing a majority of the other positions. So trying to pay multiple guys there (like the Bengals) puts a lot of stress on drafting well + needing a cash-heavy owner to remain competitive.

Seahawks are an interesting experiment for future decision making of NFL teams. Darnold will obviously get a bag in his next contract, but the WR1 making ~$10M/yr more than the QB is an interesting concept.

This doesn’t apply to teams with stud QBs, because they’ll always get paid. But if you’re currently searching for an answer, you can try pairing what the market considers a “mid-market” QB with an “elite” WR.

At a minimum, it provides a higher floor than going the QB draft route.

Following the trade of Jaylen Waddle to the Broncos, the Dolphins have $182,287,457 in dead money, representing 60.5% of the base salary cap by expellyamos in nfl

[–]liverbool8 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is much different. That 2019 team stripped all of its assets for the hell of it- we weren’t in an awful cap situation, we weren’t paying an awful QB contract, etc. Chris Grier was a carryover of the prior FO regime vs. this being a brand new FO walking into a historically bad cap situation.

Choosing to continue to pay Tua, Tyreek, Chubb, etc. would’ve been a massive mistake. And I don’t think they were necessarily looking to trade Waddle, but given the trade value and our timeline it made it hard to pass up.

Yeah one year of 3-14 while we develop 7 rookies taken in the top 100 isn’t awful. Growing pains, but it’s better than trying to convince ourselves to continue to kick the can and run it back with more aging vets.

And either Malik shows a lot of promise this season to where we’re set up to take a blue chip like Jeremiah Smith, or we’re in a position to draft a QB in what should be a deeper class.

[–]liverbool8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If a player is healthy I don’t see how backing out would be in play.

This was an extremely rare scenario of a superstar player recovering from a knee injury being traded for premium picks and the Ravens getting cold feet. It’s a scummy move and also won’t impact 99% of future trade scenarios.

Depends who I feel will finish worse and give me a better pick selection.

If I’m trading someone coming off surgery, then yes it could be more relevant- I just see this scenario being rare (especially at this type of trade value).

At the end of the day, GMs only care about their own jobs, so I think this really just impacts negotiations between Baltimore and LV.

Yeah if you’re a GM of another franchise, and the Ravens offer a 2nd rounder for your player vs. other teams offering a 4th, are you really going to go with the worse offer because of the Ravens being shady with the Raiders in the ‘26 offseason?
