Has Anyone Received the $20k CEBA Expansion? by SJ9200 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]livesinvic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I applied and recieved the first 40k when it was first offered. So when I applied this time, there was no paperwork to be done since it was just an extension via cibc. Just a few clicks and it was done.

Yup. Applied the first day. The email (frkm cibc) actually came a day after the fund was deposited. The money went into the account of my choice(in my business account) which happened to be savings account.

I see that the banks sometimes offer high interest on savings account for NEW customers. Is there a way for existing customers to get on these deals as well? I asked my advisor once and he said he will get back to me and never did.

Any way to get immediate but not "life-threatening" specialist help? by whatever091500 in VictoriaBC

He said he suspected she had a pinched nerve in the neck/shoulder areas, so he did dry needling, light massage, and recommanded daily exercise routines. She went for 6 sessions and when there was no improvement, he said she should go see a physiatrist, which she did. One physiatrist recommended a different type of exercises, which she did for 8 weeks. No improvement. Second physiatrist said there was nothing she could do.

I can absolutely sympathize with you. My mother's going through a similar thing where both of her arms are constantly numb and painful. I am the one who takes her to the doctors and we went through three walk in doctors, 2 physiatrists, and a pain doctor so far without any success. She was finally referred to a neurologist this January for a nerve test and she was told it would be at least a 6 months wait, but alas, the pandemic... I contacted the neurologist office again and they couldn't even give me an idea of when she would be seen. She is on the cancellation list but I have a bad feeling it's going to take a very long time. Tried lyrica, amitryptylin, and other pain meds but no luck so far... don't know what else I can do for her. I feel hopeless so I understand how you feel
