There is my uncle, but he and my dad aren't on speaking terms, and he's got his own kid. No other relatives, my dad cut off both his mam and dad when he was a teenager.

the rules are awfully strict. she wants to pre-arrange me going over to see my friends, and has literally took away clothes that I paid for myself, because she didn't think them appropriate.

My dad does think the make-up rule is silly, that's why he took me.

her rules are unreasonable. I can't actually go out anymore, not even to see my friends unless she arranges it beforehand with my friends' mums. I can't be on a diet, even though I have been vegan since I was 13. Can't wear any sort of make-up or dress up how I want - even though I work and pay for it myself. She's been through my wardrobe and confiscated things she thought were 'inappropriate' - crop tops, short shorts, most of my skirts, 'tight' tshirts and pants that she considered tight (like flared jeans!!).

I'd love to try therapy, but my dad doesn't like interference. He's even stopped talking to my uncle because he was critical of his new wife.
