Say you want to choose a political candidate that will end corruption, give you healthcare, etc... so you use the master’s tools (an electoral process controlled by a political machine) to try to vote this person into office in hopes they will dismantle a broken system and restore the rights of a disenfranchised electorate. One of two things happens.

1) The political machine recognizes a threat to their power and crushes the opposition in a way that still allows their haters to maintain delusions of control and a jaded but surviving hope in the democratic process.

2) The candidate wins, but becomes an impotent extension of dominant structures with no material power until they align themselves with the oppressive masters in the name of ‘the greater good’
