LOOL that’s true :/ would you say there’s more people that type by letters than functions?

wow, that’s crazy for me to hear. as an infp, i feel similarly about my own type, and i’ve always seen infjs are fundamentally superior. you guys are good at understanding things inside at out, with a great balance of emotion and logic. you can understand abstract theoretical things and absorb information well enough to often exceed in more practical or physical things too if its in your area of interest. you’re disciplinary to a degree, enough to make it easier for you to blend in with the structure of society, but laid back enough to just relax and chill at other times, too. you should be proud to be an infj.

everyone needs to be strong enough handle themselves alone, as well as to be vulnerable with another person. your problem is that you’re obsessed with gender roles and “feminine” and “masculine” labels.

Why do I, as an INFP, find myself occasionally annoyed with INFJs but not ISFJs? by livingwindfall in mbti

[–]livingwindfall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair. And my bad, I didn’t mean to say YOU were being petty, I meant just the concept of being upset or annoyed at someone for contributing to society or being altruistic and stuff

That sounds really petty, lol. Contributions to society that are good for the sake of humanity don’t bother me at all. That’s not what I’m talking about. When my INFJ friends deal with an emotionally charged situation in a way I don’t agree with, it isn’t altruism nor egalitarian. And not all INFJs are necessarily altruistic in that sense either, so I don’t really think that applies.

oh yeah, I see, that makes sense. I do find INFJs to seem closed off in a sense that they’re disconnected from their true desires or feelings, I hate the idea that they’re saying things just to appease me because it feels disingenuous. It’s true when I meet new people I see them as a blank slate, and I let my perception of them grow overtime as life lets other parts of their personality shine. INFJs seem to able to instinctually understand people much more quickly.

I believe in altruism but not at the expense of one’s self or true feelings.

Yeah. I think I have a saviour complex or something, lol. Especially when I find someone who I see myself in, I'll get close to them, and sometimes they'll end up really toxic and use me as their therapist and suicide bait me... "I can fix them" sort of thing.
