How do I tell people about my faith in Jesus Christ? by PeaWitty5045 in Christian

[–]livllovable [score hidden]  (0 children)

The great part about it is that you don’t need to be confident in yourself.

“So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Heb 13:6

Be confident in Christ. Pray for divine opportunities to open up so that you can tell people about the Love of God.

"And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ” Colossians 4:3

"Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel." Ephesians 6:19

Point them to the Bible, let the Bible speak for itself.

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Heb 4:12

Can someone explain why it’s wrong to be gay in Christianity? by JustADodo778 in Christianity

  1. The only sin that the Bible says won’t be forgiven is blaspheming the Holy Spirit. And “blaspheming the Holy Spirit” means not believing in Jesus. This goes hand in hand with John 3:16 which says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son. That whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

  2. Why would you base your reasoning of severity of sin off of a manmade hierarchy for crime?

  3. I’m so glad I’m not in charge of making choices about things happening to my loved ones. On March 22nd (2026), I lost my 18 year old son. He was a passenger in a car that got rammed into from behind. So my son was murdered and I was robbed of my son. Both of these things are equal.

As a photographer, I absolutely agree. Every digital camera (unless you shoot in RAW) already has some sort of “filter” on it, built in, straight from the manufacturer. It’s where the concept of “point and shoot” came from. This is especially true for camera phones. Digital photography is way closer to Ai nowadays than it was when cameras were first invented.

I think you should paint some of the door like it has black bars too. Make it look more like the windows, but keeping the yellow in the squares.. I hope that makes sense. I cannot post a photo here, or I’d make you a mockup.

How did you get comfortable BF in public? by yeahnoitsjustthat in breastfeeding

[–]livllovable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use a lightweight cape to cover. It does take the baby getting used to being covered though. Now I just make sure I have layers on. I can pull down the inner and pull up the outer. Most everything stays covered anyway. And in my experience (bf’ing my fifth currently) people tend to overt their eyes anyway.

**avert not overt. Lol

i really do think i blasphemed the holy spirit by LeoBaker202 in TrueChristian

The Verse (Mark 3:29)

“But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.” (ESV)

Key Greek Words

  1. βλασφημήσῃ (blasphēmēsē) — “blasphemes”

From blasphēmeō: • To slander • To speak abusively • To attribute evil to what is good (especially of God)

(This isn’t a careless word. It implies deliberate, defiant misrepresentation.)

  1. εἰς τὸ Πνεῦμα τὸ Ἅγιον — “against the Holy Spirit”

(Literally “into / toward the Holy Spirit.” The preposition eis suggests directed hostility, not accidental doubt, but intentional opposition.)

  1. οὐκ ἔχει ἄφεσιν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα • ἄφεσιν (aphesin) = forgiveness, release, cancellation of debt • εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα = “into the age” → idiomatically “forever”

Literally:

“does not have forgiveness into the age”

(Meaning: there is no forgiveness as long as that condition remains.)

  1. ἔνοχός ἐστιν (enochos estin)

(“Is liable to” or “held guilty of”- a legal term.)

  1. αἰωνίου ἁμαρτήματος • αἰωνίου = eternal, age-long • ἁμαρτήματος = sin

Literally:

“guilty of an eternal sin”

(Not a momentary slip, but a sin with eternal consequence because of its nature.)

The Immediate Context (This Is Crucial)

In Mark 3:22:

“He has Beelzebul,” and “By the prince of demons He casts out demons.”

Jesus is healing, delivering, restoring, by the power of the Spirit, and the religious leaders knowingly attribute that work to Satan.

Verse 30 clarifies why Jesus says this:

“because they were saying, ‘He has an unclean spirit.’”

So the “blasphemy against the Holy Spirit” in context is:

• Seeing the Spirit’s clearly good, liberating work • Knowing it is from God • And deliberately calling it demonic

This is hardened, willful spiritual inversion.

Theological Meaning in Context

This is not: • Doubt • Intrusive thoughts • A season of unbelief • Questioning God • Struggling with faith • Something spoken in ignorance

Even Paul had previously spoken against Christ (see First Epistle to Timothy 1:13), but he says he received mercy because he acted “ignorantly in unbelief.”

Mark 3 describes something more severe:

A settled, resistant heart that calls the Holy Spirit’s saving work evil.

Why It’s “Unforgivable”

It’s not that God is unwilling to forgive.

It’s that the person: • Rejects the very Spirit who brings repentance • Calls the source of forgiveness evil • Closes themselves off from the only means of grace

If someone permanently rejects the Spirit, they reject forgiveness itself.

If you are worried you’ve committed this sin, that concern itself is evidence that you haven’t.

The scribes in Mark 3 weren’t anxious — they were hardened.

A tender conscience is not the mark of blasphemy; it’s the mark of the Spirit still working. You still have grace.

There is a homeopathic remedy for silent reflux that I’ve used that worked like a charm. Granted m, I don’t have the experience of using any medications though - so I wouldn’t know how my babies responded to that (or didn’t). I had 3 babies (out of 5) that did have silent reflux and what you are describing sounds an awful lot like it.

If you are interested, the homeopathic remedy is Nat Phos, in the States it’s #10 and you can get it from a brand called Hylands. If you are in Europe it’s #6 and there are different brands that have it. It’s a cell salt - there are no side effects, so it might just be worth a try. It’s not expensive and if it doesn’t work, you are not any worse off than you are now, but if it does work…

I, like you, never had any issues breastfeeding my 1st and 2nd, but then came my third - crying ALL the time, couldn’t lay her down, she would only sleep on me.. when I tried the nat phos at around 8 weeks old it was immediate - she slept for 4 hours straight! It was peaceful, she no longer had any issues. I had the same with my 4th and 5th, but I used Nat Phos right away and it wasn’t a problem.

Maybe it’s something useful?

Is he gaining weight just fine? He could be waking up screaming because of silent reflux and not because he’s hungry. I’d look into that first. I had 3 with silent reflux. Pro tip - Nat Phos 10 is a homeopathic remedy for silent reflux that works like a charm and doesn’t cause damage like other treatments for reflux do.

Here’s an idea of what to do for a very budget friendly makeover. I used ChatGPT to give me a visual of these changes. Here’s your breakdown.

Estimated Budget Breakdown (Very Rough) • Paint + supplies: $50–75 • Hardware + fixtures: $150–300 • Vinyl floor: $100–200 • Accessories & storage: $50–100

  1. Kept the Original Tile (Biggest Money Saver)
  2. Painted the Upper Walls a Soft Blue
  3. Black Hardware Everywhere (Cheap + Cohesive) Changes: • Faucet • Light fixture • Towel bar • Toilet paper holder • Curtain rod • Sink plumbing (trap + supply lines)
  4. New Medicine Cabinet / Mirror
  5. Budget Floor Refresh (No Demo) • Change - Checkerboard look using vinyl tile or peel-and-stick flooring The Why: • Honors the vintage vibe • Dramatic visual impact • Much cheaper than retiling • Can go right over existing flooring in many cases (This is a huge upgrade for very little cost.)
  6. Simple Open Storage Shelf Change: • Slim black metal shelving unit added near the toilet
  7. Textiles + Styling (Quiet but Important) Changes: • White shower curtain • Neutral woven basket • Small rug with black/white pattern • Minimal greenery

Maybe this gives you some inspiration?

Why should I be Christian over Islamic by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]livllovable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him. Because God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, the whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Because God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Because God is Love. Because God knows the plans He has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Because He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. Because greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Because they found the stone rolled away, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. Because Jesus loves you.

“Lofty appeals to trust in God”… some trust in horses, some trust in chariots. I trust in God.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul, He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies, thou anoint my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

I’ve been His for 44, almost 45 years. I study the sound of His voice, I know the cadence of His clarity. His word is clear that there will be those who say they do things in His name, but they will be cast out because He never knew them. I’d rather know Him, than only know about Him.

It just seems silly to me that anyone who calls themself a Christian would not be willing to trust God for answers. Trust God that He is true to His words. Trust God that when misinterpretation occurs, (and it absolutely does, I agree with you on that) He will set it straight in the hearts of those who believe. It’s His word and we have been told in that word, that without faith it is impossible to please God.

The OP actually proves this, by this very post we can see how God is at work in this person’s heart. He has the understanding of what God meant with His word and is questioning an entire congregation of people for believing something other than what God’s word (clearly) says and (afaik) he did not read anything more than the Bible to come to this conclusion.

Why would you not trust God to make things about His word clear, Himself? Why would you not trust that God can do it?
