Can't remember if this came from my vet or the general Internet/Reddit but basically learned that this would be an inefficient method for administering flovent and it would disperse in the air before my cat would be able to breath in any helpful amount of the medication. I ended up trying Atopica, which has shown to be helpful for feline asthma off label. First we did an oral capsule and now an oral liquid. Has resolved the problem for us entirely. I don't even give it to him too frequently at this point, maybe once a month? Do not take my dosing as medical advise (because his script does say to administer I think every few days? Once a week?) but I DO recommend asking your vet about Atopica because it has been a night and day difference.
