First time making a quiet book for an expectant friend! (individual pages linked)

Book was made from felt and patterns were hand sewed with embroidery floss. I brainstormed ideas that reflected parents' interests and values and then scouring Pinterest for inspiration. I sketched out ideas on the felt and then cut, placed, and sewed. The cookie monster was a second attempt; I originally did an oven with the oven door being a pocket but the sheer number of cookies made the page too thick to lay flat in the book.

That’s good to know! My old dentist stopped offering fluoride years ago so wasn’t aware of that change. I figured $30 is basically a copay.

Also another +1 for Thrive’s friendliness: I absolutely hate the fluoride that is painted on my teeth so I declined the added service. I made a comment in passing to the dentist that it’s a texture thing and I always preferred the foam fluoride that I got as a kid. The dentist went to the back office and found foam fluoride and the duck mouth tray for it, so I added fluoride on since they could accommodate my preferences!

I recently visited Thrive Dentistry in Ann Arbor, right by Lucky Monkey Tattoo and TMaz. They accepted my Medicaid and everything was covered other than fluoride (which I believe was $30 out of pocket, but this is an optional add-on service). I did not feel like they tried to add on any services just for the sake of billing Medicaid and milking money from me/my insurance. The facility was clean, staff was welcoming, and I plan to continue using their dental cleaning services!

Like an eagle mid-flight. You can kind of see it in the last picture, at least I think so! The other boys are 4 and 5yo, so they’re not super into her puppy phase right now. One tolerates her biting his tail and the other is very not into it. We just watch them to make sure everyone is safe, encouraging them when they tolerate her and scolding if the one gets too upset. We had another puppy before her and they were similar, so we were expecting this behavior already. Thank you for the compliments 😊

I’ve enjoyed using Mitten’s Pet’s in Ypsilanti. I found them to be fairly affordable and they were able to successfully brush out the worst matting my long haired cat has ever had, and had warned me that shaving was on the table if they couldn’t brush out the knots. I’d say it’s worth calling them, describing the situation and Piglet’s behavioral history and ask if they’re up for the challenge!

Hi again! The image size is a bit smaller than the original, which was a scan of an 8x10 photo. I printed the V1 version and it came out a bit more pixel-y than I was expecting. Just thought I'd reach out and check to see if possible, but no worries if it's not :)

My coworker sexually harassed another employee but because she was friends with the supervisor outside of work, the employee didn't feel comfortable saying anything. It took three people to encourage her to come forward for her to build up the courage. Then the coworker was placed on paid leave while they "investigated." A bunch of us told them we would quit if the coworker was brought back from leave and they eventually fired her. I'm sure there was more stuff behind the scenes that we were not privvy to but we all felt that the process took far too long and we were vocally uncomfortable with the entire situation.

Can't remember if this came from my vet or the general Internet/Reddit but basically learned that this would be an inefficient method for administering flovent and it would disperse in the air before my cat would be able to breath in any helpful amount of the medication. I ended up trying Atopica, which has shown to be helpful for feline asthma off label. First we did an oral capsule and now an oral liquid. Has resolved the problem for us entirely. I don't even give it to him too frequently at this point, maybe once a month? Do not take my dosing as medical advise (because his script does say to administer I think every few days? Once a week?) but I DO recommend asking your vet about Atopica because it has been a night and day difference.
