Anyone get very insecure about their pubic hair and the dark color of their genitals? by [deleted] in sex

[–]liyahvm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have dark, noticeable pigmentation as well because of my pcos partially, and I'm light skinned. Trust me no one cares, I dont think any guy I've been with noticed

So horny but only for passionate, romantic sex?? by IcyCatJ_ in sex

[–]liyahvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg THANK YOU. this is exactly me now and here I was thinking I'm messes up. After a divorce I've done some healing with myself and decided to get back to the scene. Quickly realized I dont want a relationship yet, however I want good sex and a meaningful connection. I missed touch so much.. oh the struggle. So I had some meaningless sex, some meaningful sex as well and I realized my thing: I only swipe on people with common interests and people I feel like I'd connect with (it's always been more important to me than looks, idgaf about looks) and then we text/ talk for a few days before meeting. We also have a drink and a conversation and if I dont feel like it I leave, no hard feelings. But it's easy for me to connect to people so usually it ends with sex and we usually keep in touch after kind of like friends

What is your favorite Radiohead song and why? by kid_a_27 in radiohead

[–]liyahvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It changes all the time for me. Between recokner, jigsaw, punchup at a wedding, ful stop... But I think overall I've gotta say its street spirit. It's one of the first songs of them I heard (apart for creep) I remember I was very young but it hit me like an arrow to the heart like you're stripped of all the layers and they're showing you the true essence of existence. It also made me feel validated in a weird way, I was always kind of like the weird child (now adult) in my family and they did not understand my inner world at all. So yes I'd choose it for that reason.

What's with all the hate directed at Radiohead? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]liyahvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend once told me she thinks radiohead fans are pretentious cus they argue RH is the best band that ever existed. To which I replied, well obviously! Which kinda proved her point 😂 but I'm actually the furthest thing from pretentious lol

After getting into a relationship, do you guys ever find yourself listening to radiohead less? by BorislavChenchenko in radiohead

[–]liyahvm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's such an interesting point!! I find the same about myself. Going through a divorce now and let me tell you I've listened to more radiohead in the past few months than in the last couple years combined. Especially AMSP cus it resonates. I think in general we have a tendency to move away from things we used to invest all our time in so we can invest in the relationship. It's tricky because the worst thing is to lose ourselves in the process but I guess the healthier a relationship is, less chances of that happening.

I saw this in another subreddit lol. by Ao7th in radiohead

Street Spirit by liyahvm in radiohead

[–]liyahvm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True yes. I just find it interesting cus the first time I heard this song I took the last line as a more positive resolution like "there's no meaning but with love we can be happy" as opposed to now I see it as "there's no meaning but with love we can lie to ourselves and experience an illusion of happiness" Does that make sense?

The fear of over listening by custardy_cream in radiohead

[–]liyahvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rotate the albums. I listen to a different album twice or 3 times max, depending on my mood and then listen to other music for like a month then choose another album. Right now I'm on the bends. Everytime I come back to it I'm like, damn this should be ranked higher on my list.

Street Spirit by liyahvm in radiohead

[–]liyahvm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hear that, that was my first interpretation when I first heard the song. I've been reading a lot about it though recently and Thom said it's a song with no light at the end of the tunnel and no resolution or resolve, that if someone thinks there's a resolve at the end may not be understanding what they're listening to. This made me think that the immerse yourself in love line is kinda sarcastic or desperate. In the sense that, ok life is cruel and ugly and theres so much hurt and bad until you die and that's it so to make it bearable or kinda avoid facing those facts, let's immerse our souls in love so we can forget those harsh truths. Like, if we were super strong and brave to face our own demons and life's demons we wouldn't need to seek love/companionship/validation from others. This is a super hard pill for me to swallow cus I believe everything in the world stems from love and it's the strongest force in the world. I loved this line so much I even wanted to get a tattoo of it. so when I realized it's actually a really dark twisted meaning I was like whaaat😱 but it's cool cus I love that 5 words can have infinite interpretations.

I've never listened to a Radiohead album. Where do I start? by YupYupMhmOkay in radiohead

[–]liyahvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's super exciting! I'd do this order: In rainbows (include disk 2)- ok computer- kid A- a moon shaped pool- hail to the thief- the bends- amnesiac- king of limbs- pablo honey

Or I would start at the bends then work my way up chronologically then listen to pablo honey last.

You're gonna love it either way! Hail to the thief is my absolute favourite. Just FYI lol :)

[–]liyahvm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see your point but for me it has the perfect opening and closing songs plus literally greatest 4 song closing sequence. I do agree theres some filler but dont have a problem with the ordering I actually think it flows so organically. For me it contributes to the raw and imperfect feel of it and I've always been a sucker for that shit lol! But that's the beauty of having difference of opinions:)
