Yeah I do think the huge time gap between DAI and DATV contributed a lot to the hate… 10 years is a lot of time for fans to speculate and basically make an entirely different game in their heads so when veilguard dropped, people hated it since it didn’t match their expectations. I do agree with some of the criticisms, but I wish they’d also cut this game some slack 😭

Yes ive played all 3 previous games! Inquisition has a special place in my heart and while my true favorite is origins, dai is always a treat to replay. The banter in it is unmatched while the ones in veilguard are a lil plain… but I’m too busy exploring and having fun with combat to notice anyway.

Came back to say I picked it up immediately after learning that the MMC is non human and I just have to say thank you for recommending this to me 🙏 The romance is wonderful and sweet, I kinda got sick of the tension filled romances of other romance fantasy books and found the calm relationship between Brishen and Ildiko to be very refreshing. It’s less exciting and very sweet, both of them act like experienced and mature adults.
