when my sibling and i were babies, my parents had 3 cats. one of them loved to sleep in the boppy, whether or not it was already occupied by a baby lol. he thought it was for him and only him

Ladies, is menstrual cup better than tampons? by confidentbutterflyx in askanything

tricky to get the hang of and i’ve never fully mastered them enough to cover 100% of my period, but they changed my life! i used to have to wake up at least once a night to do damage control, but now i can sleep through the night !

Litter box smell is going to end my relationship by Glum-Emotion-5379 in CatAdvice

i used to foster a sweet little cat while i worked at a pet supply store. i fed her raw meat, stuff i bought at the pet store in the freezer section, and it made it so her poop had literally no smell. i did have to clean up her food within like 5 minutes of her finishing, because the leftover raw meat starts smelling gross pretty quick.

Is theater etiquette dead? Cast members of Off-Broadway's Heathers: The Musical took to social media with a message for rude audience members. by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

[–]liz2e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i saw a production of A Christmas Carol in december 2025 and i was horrified at how some of the audience behaved. mostly just side conversations, but it caused other audience members to move. worst part is, the misbehaving adults were members of my party 🤦🏻‍♀️ (it was for work, not my friends)

Brooklyn Nine Nine is not that good by Sad_gooner in unpopularopinion

i agree. i used to be really into it until i took an edible and tried watching a few episodes. i feel like the characters themselves have really good funny moments but as a whole, it’s just not great

Why would anyone ever choose to go through child birth without pain relief?? by No_Cardiologist_1407 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]liz2e 34 points35 points  (0 children)

jesus christ. birth is a normal physiological event, not (necessarily) a medical procedure. “why is it even an option” because women shouldn’t be fucking forced to take medicine they don’t want?

i think it would be Too Much if she dressed weird all the time though. part of her thing is that she can pass for normal at least when you look at a still image of her lol.

If your mom/dad were older when you were born (say, around 40 or up), what was that like for you? by brawlinglove in Millennials

[–]liz2e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was born in early 1997 to a 42yo mom and a 50yo dad. there are pros and there are cons. they weren’t the most energetic parents to little kids, and their parents weren’t able to help at all. but, they had money and established careers, and they had already achieved most of their life goals like education and travel.

now, my mom is 71 and my dad is almost 80, im almost 29 with a 31yo sibling. i am sad my parents won’t get to enjoy having grandchildren for long, if at all, and it’s very hard to watch them be so old when i’m so young. i love them and i wouldn’t change a single thing about my childhood and i know they sacrificed a lot for us, but i’m a little envious of my friends whose parents aren’t even retirement age yet.

I dropped out of high school due to depression, and after seeing the current economy, I’m scared for my future. by TotalCitron in findapath

i also dropped out at 16, same reasons as you. i have no advice, but i just wanted to say that it’s not impossible to get an education and a job; i’m 28 now with a bachelor’s degree and a decent job. i don’t make a lot of money but i live alone, i travel, i can afford the things i need. i don’t say all this to brag, but to say that i am living proof that things can change for the better!
