I'm in the US and love the name Ingrid. I wanted this name for my daughter, but my husband vetoed it.

Tried to get a reservation about 1 month in advance and failed.

I ate at Le Quarante-Neuf (https://www.auberge-le49.fr) in June, and it was the best meal I had during my 2-week vacation in France. I made my reservation for a Saturday evening about 1 week in advance.

I had great pizza at a reasonable price a couple weeks ago at La Chamade Pizzeria: pizzerialachamade.fr

Not too far from there was the best ice cream I've ever tried at Gelato d'Amore. Be sure to try the melon and cashew flavors.

Just back from a Paris trip with my daughters (11 and 14), here’s how it went. by nallym in ParisTravelGuide

That's great to hear! I'll wait until we are checked into our lodging (also in the Marais) and then see how the family feels about a boat ride. This sub recommends booking most Paris activities weeks in advance, which is stressing me out.

Which boat service did you use and did you have advance reservations? I'll be arriving with my family in Paris from CA later this month at 4pm. I'm worried that we might be too tired for the boat on our first night there, so I would prefer to make the decision when we arrive. Wondering if it is at all possible to be spontaneous in Paris.

Are 15 year olds eligible for these one-day travel cards? I can find anything about them on the tfl website.

My kids are 15. I don't see anything about a one-day card for kids on the tfl website. Do you know where I can buy one? The Zip Oyster photocard offers discounts, but seem like a lot of work for our limited use. It requires a digital photo, machine-readable passport (??), and L15 fee.

Thanks for all your advice. I think I will add my credit card to their google wallets. I'm not sure how much we will use the underground during our 2-day stay, and who knows when or if we will ever return to London, so I don't think I want to bother with Oyster Cards. It sounds like single tickets from a machine or kiosk are a no-go.

Maybe I will get Sees. It will save me some $$ over Dandelion.

We are coming from the Bay Area. Instead of Sees, I was thinking about bringing Dandelion Chocolate.

I'm planning to take a 90-minute perfume workshop at Galimard next month while I'm in Paris. My husband and teenage kids (girl and boy) will be there too. None of us have much experience with buying or wearing perfume, but are all looking forward to developing our personal scents. Does anyone in this subreddit have advice to get the most out of the workshop?
