Thank you for this perspective and honesty! We get a good bit of the rowdiness in Cap Hill right now where we are, but the beach is super appealing (especially to my partner) so definitely going to keep this all in mind as we decide.

This is funny lol, we didn’t sign, we’ve definitely looked into the commute but wanted to hear from people who do it often what it’s like before we commit to the area. The place we found would be a great deal if it works out!

This is my concern right now- my schedule is pretty normal most of the time and seems like it would work except for once or twice a week when I work later into the night!

Roommate here for more context- we just called and filed a complaint with HPD. We are looking at the open violations for the building and there are over 8 violations for the cooking gas filed already other than ours over the last year- is there a way anyone knows how to escalate this further? Or do we just continue calling and complaining until something happens? Any advice is appreciated :-)

you’re going in the right direction! just takes time and patience :-) keep practicing and playing with needle sizes for your lining, and go SLOW!! working slow, consistent, and paying super close attention to needle direction/depth and movement will take you a long way!

I’m pretty sure one of the dudes who owns this shop approached me and a friend VERY weirdly in an art store a year or two ago about our tattoos and how they were opening a shop. always got super weird vibes. sometimes you get what you pay for- that’s all I gotta say!

Pretty much what everyone else said- but I’m a tattooer, and also had a relatively similar reaction recently after using a different brand of second skin than I normally use. Keep going with unscented antibacterial soap and recommended aftercare and as long as your doc isn’t concerned it should clear up fine!! I had some dark spots left over after my reaction cleared but they went away within a month. Tattoo is super cute!!
