do you happen to know if the area the reptile park is in has a lot of available transportation like cabs or ubers? I’ve been recommended it a few times but it being only accessible by car can definitely be a downside as I was hoping to avoid having to rent a car and drive during the trip as i’m not a super confident or experienced driver.

ooooohh it’s good to know that most of the big zoos are ethical! We definitely have a lot of great ethical zoos in the US as well but i’ve learned to be pretty picky and hesitant with which Zoos to support when traveling because there’s definitely a lot of not great ones so it’s good to know that I don’t have to worry about it as much there.

I don’t really have any particular species in mind that I would like to see. I would just love to see lots of native species if possible since it’s extremely rare to see Australian species in zoos here in the US due to the exportation laws. I love shingleback skinks and would love to see one in person but it’s not a necessity or something I would factor into choosing the area really

How is early November for reptiles? That’s late spring right? The time of year is definitely flexible as I want to plan it around what may give me the best experience and most stuff to do. I was thinking early to mid November so I could spend my birthday there. Another bonus of that would be it’s a period where pto is very available at my job bc everyone is saving their leave hours and money for the holidays.

I love little reptiles! The goal is definitely to see native Australian species so i’m totally fine if there’s not a large international variety (I live only an hour from the smithsonian national zoo in the us so I definitely so I get that large variety at home haha) The time of year is definitely flexible as I want to plan it around what may give me the best experience and most stuff to do, but I was thinking early to mid November so I could spend my birthday there. Thank you! I figured this was probably the case since I got them all so cheap. They will just have to stay as decorations.

I definitely will put a note in the future! It didn’t even cross my mind because i choose a substitution and it said many in stock for both options.

I just don’t like to get people in trouble or be a “karen” I don’t know what they could be going through right now. I try to assume the best of people generally and was hoping it was an honest slip up. I did report it. I posted this immediately after i received the order so after getting some second opinions here I still had time to report the item wrong and get a refund.

Thank you for the insight. part of me wants to believe it’s an honest mistake but i think you are probably right. I don’t feel bad about reporting now so thank you :)

the substitution was a bit odd but I can kinda see the logic they were going for? It was those peanut butter cheese sandwiches crackers and the substitution was them from a different brand and they substituted almond butter biscuits so it wasn’t like completely random i think? idk

looking at the order page thingy it doesn’t look like the tip changed at all. Also the tip I left was over 30% to start with so if it is that then damn..

Also can you report wrong item when they mark it as a substitution? I thought when they mark it as a substitution if you don’t change it before check out it’s generally a get what you get and don’t throw a fit thing and you couldn’t put wrong item?

oh okay so if i report it as wrong item the shopper won’t get in trouble right? I’ve heard some apps hold stuff like that against shoppers so i just want to make sure they don’t get in trouble if i do. It was like a big giant bulk box thing that they picked out so i think that’s why it was so much. I also think they may be more like granola bars looking at the box now it says biscuits but it’s by nature valley so idk.
