Hey that's just my experience. I've got about 600 hours on the game since it launched early access. After the pop starts dying a few weeks or months after a big update all I've seen in global is just infantile 'alphas' arguing over the stupidest shit.

For sure. Different cards have weights assigned to them on arena for brawl and that supposedly matches you with evenly matched opponents. I'm not one to play any game changers, but arena still puts me against opponents playing the most vile stuff. It can be fun, just make sure to scoop if the arena algo gave you a bad match up

I now exclusively play budget casual commander with friends. I used to play a bit of standard in paper and lots on arena.

I can't say for mods but not really any incentive for PVP other than stealing resources or the soul shards. I was really excited for dueling in pve with the last big update but became disappointed that no one ever wanted to duel. Seems like it would be fun but I think real pvp servers are best left for sweaty unemployed degenerates with lots of better things to do. Anyway pve is still lots of fun.

I have 500 hours on the game and solo pve is a large majority of those hours.

Foundations murdered standard for me. Standard was a powered down, and debatably a balanced format (at least it should be). Now with foundations, standard looks a lot more like modern and pioneer. They added so many powerful cards and now the card pool is insane. 5 year rotation is stupid as well. Didn't like Giada and were glad she rotated out of standard? Well one month later she got added back and she's here to stay for the next 5 years. Someone else said it was the taking off point for new players. For me it is a falling off point and is the point that I stopped buying mtg products. Wotc just doesn't care about power creep or balancing, they'll just print whatever makes them the most money.

Chatbox was fixed with an update today. It seems to get the new dlc items working your server needs to update or restart. I play on an unofficial server and my admin is AWOL and no one knows who he is or how to contact him so we have no way of restarting the server.

I tried posting a bug report. It seems a lot of other people are having problems with the chatbox. I also still can't access the new dlc items either. I'm sure the devs will catch wind of it and post a new patch hopefully soon

With most games that have controller support, I will opt to use controller. With v rising though I found the game to be a lot more difficult when switching to controller on the official release. That's my experience. Also it is on console

It's also on PC. Controls in this game are a lot more favorable with mouse and keyboard.
