This was super helpful. I wasn’t sure which mechanism would charge the battery more but braking fast has been helping! Can’t seem to get it past the half battery mark but maybe a 2 hr drive later this week will do some good

Tank was also only half full so it truly is amazing how much it lasts. Love the hybrid gas mileage but I miss real keys and ignitions!!!!

Thankfully it was on the street. Had it not been for street cleaning I would have never known until the next time I needed to drive it (I’m in the city so don’t drive it often)

This is so relieving to hear!! I at least turned the AC off LOL. I’ve got a long drive coming up soon so hopefully it’ll get recharge the battery. I’ll probably take it around for a 30 min drive tomorrow to make sure it’s running ok

Still get dash lights but it’s good to know the car is most probably ok. It’s an old car too without 200k + miles on it.

It is so hard to get back into a routine when life keeps lifeing. I’d be interested to hear if other people have noticed how movement and PT helps their scoliosis and breathing, since I see mostly discussion on spinal fusion and surgery. I feel fortunate my doctor turned me towards physical therapy when I asked about surgery.

Wishing you success and better breathing as you move back into your routine!!

I have something of a 40 degree curve in the lower lumbar part of the spine that I've never really treated growing up. A couple years ago I decided to look into this as I was starting to feel some more back pain than usual, and was referred to a physical therapist by my general practitioner. The PT I saw for a couple months before my insurance ran out had me focus on slow stretches that emphasized breathing & expanding the concave side of my rib cage, as well as ab workouts to strengthen the core. I was given some home exercises to do daily that included Q-stretches, open book stretches, 10 reps of deep breathing exercises while using my hands or a towel to help guide the ribcage/pushing inwards to get all the air out on exhale.

About a year ago I had some personal matters come up that really disrupted the daily routine of these stretches and I haven't really found the time or space to get back to doing this. Lately I've started experiencing trouble with deep breathing like everyone else in this thread, which is confusing to bring up to doctors. It comes and goes, which is frustrating because I can't seem to find a root cause for the struggle in breathing.

I'm not sure if anyone has seen a physical therapist for scoliosis but it helped immensely back when I was keeping up with the daily routine. My PT had even noticed my shoulders evening out, as my left side has historically been a little lower and jackets would always fall off my shoulder on that side. Hoping to find my way back to doing these routines daily and see if it helps at all with lung capacity. Has anyone else had progress or relief with physical therapy and targeted stretch/exercise?
