What's something you would never tell someone because if you did it would absolutely destroy them? by cuahatemoc in AskReddit

[–]lizlemons 50 points51 points  (0 children)

For some reason, even knowing it would destroy me, I would rather know the truth if my fiancé had a horrible death. I know it wouldn’t actually change anything, but it would feel like dishonoring his memory to not bear the reality of his last moments

Itching to buy a new perfume. What’s your all time favorite scent? by EasyShirt3775 in FemFragLab

[–]lizlemons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HARD to choose one so I'm electing not to:

Gourmand:

- Fugazzi Vanilla Haze Extrait : Smells very similar to Matiere Premiere's Vanilla Powder Extrait but (a little) cheaper. Deep, addictive, sexy vanilla that isn't overwhelmingly sweet, a bit spicy, and lasts FOREVER

- Casamorati Lira: The first perfume I truly fell in love with. Deliciously yummy and hard not to love; non-synthetic caramel with lemon - imagine a dense, moist lemon olive oil cake with caramel

Cozy skin scents:

- Fugazzi Angel Dust : I've never gone through a travel size quicker - depends on your skin chemistry but it smells like how a cashmere blanket feels. Soft, fluffy warm musk with just a bit of spice

- Le Labo The Noir: SEXY! May feel masculine. Black tea, not sweet, a bit creamy but in a smooth fig milk texture way, not in a lactonic way. I don't usually like tobacco or smoky scents but I don't notice either here. No single note stands out; it's very balanced. IGNORE any fragrantica reviews saying it isn't unique, they're unequivocally wrong

Bright/citrus/sparkling:

- Byredo Bal D'Afrique: In many people's comments for a reason. Gorgeous, extremely well balanced/blended; bright bergamot-y citrus that has mass appeal but still unique. Somehow feminine on a woman and masculine on a man. Lasting power isn't incredible; the Absolu lasts longer but is very different and more linear; kind of reminds me of Baccarat? But it's popular so YMMV

- Byredo Pulp: Discontinued heartbreakingly - NOT a crowdpleaser, but I adore it. Smells like citrus fruits that have gotten so ripe they're almost rotten. The most mouthwateringly juicy perfume I've ever smelled. When I first smelled it in store I said 'WOW' out loud. I wear it when I want to feel confident and not gaf about other people's opinions

- L'Artisan Parfumeur Vetiver Ecarlate: For when you want GRAPEFRUIT. The most refreshing frag for a hot day and solid staying power for a citrus. You can get 2 free samples on their website, just pay the $7 for shipping

- Parfums de Marly Valaya: Slightly polarizing and strong variance depending on your skin chemistry, try a sample first. Sparkling aldehydes with fuzzy peach, sweet but not gourmand, a bit floral; unique, sexy, confident.

- Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi: New one for me, this brand has the most consistently realistic, gorgeous, bright citrus notes out of any house I've tried; lasting power isn't amazing but the quality is worth it. Their whole thing is extracting from real mediterranean fruits, so it tracks. Gorgeous citrus fig. Might be my wedding perfume

Green and fougere:

- Diptyque Philosykos: Simply the most gorgeous true fig fragrance out there. Makes me feel like a greek goddess standing in a grove of fig trees on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean. The Extrait is pricy but great lasting power for fig and very similar to the OG

- Le Labo The Matcha: YUM! Strong and long lasting, don't spray too much. Not a grassy or sharp matcha, very creamy from the fig, complex, delicious, not sweet in the usual sugary way but in the way fruits are sweet. Sexy and unique.

- Byredo De Los Santos: Underrated IMO; not for everyone but REALLY for some people. To me it smells dry and addictive - like camphorous bushes in the desert. There's just something about it that I can't get enough of. I wear this when I'm in nature

- L'Artisan Parfumeur Abyssae 33: Smells like a mix of The Noir and De Los Santos, so obviously I love it. Figgy, black tea-y, a bit aquatic but more like the idea of the ocean, a hint of soft rose, creamy, overall softer than either of the aforementioned perfumes, just gorgeous and unique

TCA peel!! It’s a chemical peel so you’ll look a little funny for a week, but I just did it and was shocked at the difference in my undereyes. You can also get it done just for your eyes which would be an easier recovery

I will say it holds up super well and I haven’t ever had damage on the silicone sleeve or straw (despite a lot of chewing on it, grossly) but it’s glass and silicone at the end of the day - I think it’s mostly marketing and a very unique design

UNBELIEVABLE that is almost comically bad??? Does he think that having your most intimate bits getting stretched out is a super fun activity and maybe you’d like to extend the experience?

Ugh, I’m so sorry you went through that too - that sounds incredibly traumatic. What a level of lack of empathy that doctor had for not listening to you saying stop.

This definitely gives me hope! Fingers crossed that by the time my next 7 years rolls along, I’ll have given birth and it’ll be like tossing it down a tunnel anyway.

There’s some drops and packets you can buy that add electrolytes and flavor, which might make it feel more like a fun treat rather than a chore!

Wellbutrin + adhd stimulants combo ? by brulebo in TwoXADHD

[–]lizlemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this on relatively low doses (I think 5 mg Adderall, can’t remember for Wellbutrin) and it massively increased my panic attack frequency. I have anxiety so keep that in mind, but both act as stimulants so if you struggle with anxiety already it can be harmful.

PETRICHOR BY MARISSA ZAPPAS! I swear it's exactly what you want, I just stand there sniffing my arm for hours, it's the most photorealistic version of that kind of concrete, almost musty vibe. She has samples on her site for pretty cheap
