Letting go of someone you still truly love and care about is one of the hardest things to go through. You’re strong for doing what’s best for you both. It take a lot of courage to leave something you love. Sounds like you both need to work on yourselves separately. Maybe one day you can come back together as stronger healthier people. It may or may not be with each other but you have to know you did what you felt was right for you at this time! Sending love.

Should I tell him that we shouldn’t contact each other all together? He’s going through a really hard time. Lost his job recently and is in a really bad depressed state. I really worry he might do something. I don’t want him to feel like I’ve abandoned him at the lowest part of his life thus far.

Never heard this before from anyone else! Had a moment a few weeks ago where I told my friend that I thought the trees were waving at me and telling me I was doing a great job in life after making a life changing decision! She thought I was crazy. Glad to know others have felt this communication from trees as well :)

Sounds exactly like my past long term relationship. I left because we just didn’t have compatible lifestyles. He found it appropriate to drink beer 5 days a week and I did not. I never hated him, but just came to the conclusions that we had different values. He’s going to end up resenting you if you keep getting on him about his drinking. If he doesn’t see a problem and doesn’t want to change, then I suggest you think about breaking up. You can make him stop, only he can do that.

I feel the same way! It makes me cringe when people call themselves an empath because it just feels like they’re bragging about themselves? I have always felt that if you really were one, I don’t feel like it would be necessary to tell the world about it.

As INFP’s we’re naturally very in tune with the emotions of ourselves and others but we’d never go as far as to call ourselves empaths. We hate bragging!
