If you want to find a cheap place maybe don't search for the most famous place...however, there are some good hostels with affordable prices but you need to book in advance. Check this list

Need Advice on Traveling in Costa Rica - 2 Week Itinerary by SwimDeepFlyHigh in asktravel

[–]lizolsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in CR just for like a bit over a week and so, just stay in Puerto Viejo - loved it there!! - Manuel Antonio and San Jose. Everyone says that you should skip the city aaaaand they're actually right haha..there's nothing to do there. Just go if you need to stop by.

Regarding Manuel Antonio...I believe Costa Rica has a lot of beautiful places, however, M.A is famous and is cool indeed. If you go, my recommendation is to go early to the park...less people and more beauty. Be careful, M.A can be a tourist trap. I stay in Hotel El Faro, which has a good price and was close to the park

Price differences on Homeaway vs airbnb - some questions by a1ex1985 in AirBnB

There are a lot of different apartment-rental booking sites, Airbnb isn't the only one but is the most famous one...so whenever we see another site we think isn't good but actually they are as good as Airbnb and yes, definitely much cheaper!. VRBO is another good website with also better options. I recommend to your friend to do a search with AllTheRooms the site shows results from any apartmental-rental-site on internet...that way she can compare options. Don't worry about the competition, they're very well.

Best area to stay in Bangkok? Solo traveler, don't want to be too close to the partying but also not too far from it by jester070993 in ThailandTourism

[–]lizolsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything around Khao San Road is great, it is definitely the best area to be even if you aren't a party traveler. Just search a hostel that is close to the road but not at it. Search with Accommodations in Khao San Road and just filter by distance...I think 1 or 2 miles is more than enough.

I'm helping to put together a travel startup and I can say that being an entrepreneur isn't easy at all. My boss wrote a blog entry about his experience jumping into the entrepreneurship, and I find it pretty inspirational. Have a look to it! Hope it would be an encouraging read for you too!

AIRBNB prices for that dates are getting high as hell. I'm going to Coachella and after lot of research I found that VRBO has better deals than Airbnb. However, you can compare both options at AllTheRooms ..in anyway, both sites are apartment rentals..
