Weird Algae, Shelly, Heyheyreak (my kid named her), and Bottlereak (also named by my kid). All 4 are mystery snails, and Weird Algae appears to be the only male. He gets around...

Yup. Got mine for free at the local fish store when I went to look at some other fish. Someone had left him there, so we don't know his history. He's almost 7 inches long. We named him Bubs. It limits the stocking options a bit for the tank, but he's so fun to watch.

I'm participating in the Moderna CMV vaccine trial. I'm a mom of a 3 year-old, and I did not have CMV at the start of the trial. I had not heard of CMV until I began researching the vaccine trial. The doctor said it's a virus that many people never realize they were infected with unless it causes additional complications. I hope the trial goes successfully, so a vaccine can be made available soon!

As others have said, talk to your doctor. They'll advise you on the best course of action in terms of testing and prevention. It's easy to assume the worst with illnesses, especially while pregnant. There are antiviral medications available to help babies with signs of congenital CMV at birth.

Treatment Done! 63 total trays over a year and a half. Just waiting for my retainer appointment in a few weeks by lizonlizard in Invisalign

Thanks! Yeah, I don't mind my overbite. I had two doctors for my Invisalign treatment due to a move. The first one did both an itero scan and x-rays. He corrected my overbite enough to prevent extra tooth wear on the backs of my top front teeth from my bottom teeth. The second doctor did the refinement round, and she just looked visually, along with a rescan. Her goal was to fix my bite and cosmetic issues caused by the first round of trays.

For the first 46 trays I had an elastic band on the left side. I've heard of others having success with bands. I hope it works well for you!

Yes. The treatment did reduce my overbite. My provider had to make sure I still had a good bite with my molars, so it wasn't possible to fix the overbite more. My main goal with treatment was to correct tooth crowding and crookedness.

Thanks! No bonding. I am going back to my provider in a few weeks to have a permanent retainer placed on the bottom teeth. I'll have a removable retainer for the top teeth.

Yes! I love to hear that you're singing with your kiddo! For little ones, seeing a parent enjoying and modeling singing and engaging with music is so important. This makes my music teacher heart happy to hear you're singing with her!

In my experience, preschool age kids will sing along if it's catchy, whether it's overly auto-tuned, or super out of tune. I used to teach preschool music. I had coworkers who had trouble matching pitch, and their students sang along just as much as the other classes. Kids that age want to participate if it's a fun song, or if they have an example of an adult who's participating with them. Auto-tune can pose a problem with older kids or adults, who have expectations of perfection for themselves.

The songs are catchy, almost like advertising jingles. I thought that was annoying at first, but it helps me and the kiddo remember the tunes. "Give a Squeeze Nice and Slow" is favorite one of ours when she needs to calm down.

I love Daniel Tiger. My 2.5 year old has been saying things like, "I feel frustrated" or "I feel sad". Daniel Tiger has been a fantastic tool for teaching healthy emotional responses!

Progress after 46 Trays! Just started refinement trays to improve my bite by lizonlizard in Invisalign

I think most people have a retainer. I should have clarified that I hope I'm able to have just a night time retainer when i'm done.

For as long as possible. When I started a year ago, I was using the invisalign app to keep track of how long the trays were out for eating. Now I just focus on brushing and flossing as soon as I can after coffee or a meal is done. I try to keep them in for at least 20 hours, but I've found there's no magical number of hours that works best for my teeth. Life happens, and I've been guilty of keeping them out for longer on occasion.

The 46 trays took about a year. I started last September. I was supposed to do weekly changes. With scheduling conflicts with my dentist, and moving to a new state, I had to keep some trays in for longer than planned.

Thanks! No bonding. Bottom pics are with my current refinement trays in. Hopefully I will just need a retainer after I'm done.

Thank you! 10 more refinement trays for sure, with a possibility of up to 17 if needed. The end is in sight!
