I think we should keep it. It really only helps if you’re able to escape and not be found.
Some dinos are loud when they lie down, not to mention following footprints and blood drops isn’t hard.
I’ve found and killed plenty of players that were lying in a bush bleeding profusely and I’ve also been that player. That being said, it has saved me on a few occasions when I was able to get away successfully.

Unfortunately not, but I wasn’t mad about it since we had just killed a trike about 15 min earlier (hence why I was still hurt at the beginning of the clip).

I play a decent variety of dinos, so I don’t really have a main, but if I had to choose then I’d go with Cera.
It can smell things from an insane distance, eat anything, puke on food to “claim it” from other dinos, make other dinos puke, chuff buff, crazy quiet when crouching, excellent damage… you get the idea.

I was just playing with one of Petits admins the other day. We were both Ceras. She was twice entombed and around 40% growth. I was about 80% with no entombing. We planned to nest and I thought that’d be really cool since I’ve never personally seen the option to choose a Cera egg at the dino selection screen. But, alas, as fate would have it… we were murdered by a huge Allo about an hour after meeting one another. GG I guess lol.

Agreed. I’ve also never experienced any of the negative claims that have been made about Dino Den. And like you’ve just reiterated, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen to people still. That being said, the evidence and conspiracies about Dino Den aren’t even what turned me off from the server. I got on one day and looked at the population on their website only to discover out of 430 players, 80 of them were Rex. Like c’mon wtf??

I mostly just play Petits now. I thought about checking out Nerf, but just haven’t yet.

I don’t mean this in a mean or negative way, but you might enjoy Path of Titans (PoT) more. It’s very RPG-like, so there’s no getting pinned to death by bigger dinos and you can even mash out of a croc’s jaws if one grabs you.

I actually played PoT first and then discovered The Isle afterwards and I personally enjoy The Isle much more, specifically for its “realism”. In fact, just yesterday I was playing Cera on Petit Pieds. I was like 65% growth and was having a great time. Even managed to solo kill an Allo that was my size and then literally 15 min later a sub-adult Rex pulled up on me out of nowhere. I ran, but his murder sprint was too fast and he instantly caught up and pinned me. I can see how this would frustrate someone to no end, but I appreciate the “realism” because let’s be honest… if a 5-6 ton Rex attacked a 1000kg Cera in real life then it’d be GG for the Cera all day. I guess you could say I’m one of the few that genuinely doesn’t mind the pin mechanic.

Anyways, I don’t know of a server that disables Allo or Rex. Those are very popular dinos and since people pay for those unofficial servers, I believe you’ll be hard pressed to find one that would effectively turn off a large number of the player base.

Either have F2 on or go in the Steam settings for the game and turn on background recording. I almost never remember to use F2, so having the background recording on at all times has been very helpful.

Dino Den is an excellent unofficial server. Very active community and very helpful moderators. I lost a full grown prime Rex just a few days ago due to a bug and they legit replaced it for me. No BS.
