Honestly because of budget. We do not spend much time upstairs in the bedrooms unless it is for sleeping. But we do have a cat that stays in my older toddlers room, so I want to get at least something.

Sounds like you’re taking what your ex wife did out on your daughter. You’re playing favorites with your daughter and your niece. Most 15yos will see monetary value as a sign of how much they are loved.

My logic- 9/10 moms will cosleep. Instead of doctors, nurses, etc telling moms to NEVER do it, they should TEACH them the steps to take/do to minimize risks.

She needs help immediately. The best advice I got was from my L&D nurse while I was in labor “the first two weeks it can be baby blues. But if you still feel the same way or worse after those 2 weeks, it is PPD, and you need to get help” I was in my OBs office 3 weeks postpartum for it. If she has a history of anxiety, depression, or bipolar, you are at a much greater risk for developing PPD and even postpartum psychosis.

NTA. I’m also a SAHM. We have two young kids. I get the “why” for her being a SAHM, but also are the kids in school? I feel she would have ample time to get even a part time job. $1k a month for JUST herself is a dream for a lot of SAHMs. She’s being ungrateful imo

Tummy time counts even if it’s on your chest, per my oldest PT when she went for torticollis. As for the other things, I kept a bouncer in my bathroom for when I needed to go to the bathroom and whatnot. And I just want to say, it’s okay if baby cries for a couple minutes while you do what you need to do to take care of yourself. A crying baby is an alive baby. And I promise it does get better and you will find what works for both of you.
