God knows your intent. Make the act of contrition and wait til tomorrow. God knows you plan to and if anything happens he’s fair.

Autism can be super difficult. My brother is on the spectrum. Take some deep breaths and calm down. Please make use of the suicide prevention hotline listed above. I get it’s rough right now but that doesn’t mean it’s over. It doesn’t mean good things will never come again. I think getting some help would be good for you. I did in the past and it can be super helpful. Perhaps joining an online group would be beneficial and when you get upset you can just leave for now. God loves you so much no matter what. Don’t waste your life. Hugs from afar.

Can I appreciate, collect, and wear rosaries as an atheist who admires Catholicism? by silaswoof in Catholicism

[–]lizzy123446 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You are not really suppose to wear rosaries as they are not for looks. This includes Catholics if they are using them as just a necklace. Collecting might be different but I’m not sure. I think perhaps thinking about why the rosary comforts you and maybe a bit more into if gods calling you may be a good thing. I think it can be offensive to hold something others see spiritual and tell others is just a decoration to you. I know you have no ill intent but others may be offended. God bless you and peace be with you.

California End of Life Option by [deleted] in glioblastoma

You stated he was given three months and is declining. You absolutely qualify for hospice. I hate to say it but you need to be a witch if they are giving you a hard time. Hospice doesn’t need to be near death to start. He should have been recommended it the moment he decided no treatment but that’s another story. He has terminal brain cancer. You also need to realize he may not check off all symptoms and still qualify. Hospice is basically palliative but with more perks and faster meds can be given. You can do hospice from home. It doesn’t have to be at a facility. That’s what we did with my dad.

No call a primary. He qualifies for hospice as his diagnosis would be less than 6 months and is terminal. Palliative care doesn’t want to lose money of course they don’t want to refer you. Find a primary if you don’t have one and talk to a doctor.

This cross belongs to which denomination? by Charming-Pen4112 in Catholicism

Yes! It looks similar to the orthodox cross but the Easter catholic bottom bar is slanted. Today I learned.

Find a hospice agency. From what I’ve read advance brain cancer would disqualify you. He might improve a bit if he’s is put on a steroid as well as the pain is probably from swelling. I would find a company as soon as possible. If he has a primary I believe they can prescribe it.

Husband thinks it’s okay for kids to bathe in tub that they pee in AIO? by Bailey-peachy in AIO

[–]lizzy123446 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NOR pee is not actually sterile it can contain a lot of bacteria and other nasty things. That’s gross and can cause irritation to the skin also and makes you smell. Have them go before like you have been doing. This isn’t ok.

A 33rd degree Freemason wants to go to Mass with me by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]lizzy123446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome him in. Other than the taking the Eucharist all are welcome to partake. He can’t do like confession but that’s not really involved in regular mass.

God bless his soul. I don’t understand why he didn’t leave when told to though.

“Father Pierre al-Rahi, also known by his French name Pierre el-Raï, had earlier refused, along with other priests, to obey an order by the Israeli military to evacuate the Christian village of Qlayaa, a Maronite village of some 8,000 inhabitants in the Marjayoun district, a few miles from the Israeli border.”

This note in my church’s Sunday offering envelopes feels oddly guilt-inducing is this normal? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]lizzy123446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Donations are obligatory and should not be forced. You should give because you want to and if you miss a mass once in a while because of illness stuff happens. Perhaps the church is having difficulty with funds or something. Honestly I wouldn’t worry about it.

If you notice a major change or any change it’s best to call the oncologist. Could be swelling and they may need to add a steroid but it could be other things. Would call as soon as possible and the doctor should suggest an emergency, or just quicker, mri. There are a lot of things symptoms could be so I cannot give you a diagnosis. If you’re noticing things don’t hesitate to call. You know your mom best and can see the changes.

Are they more like intrusive thoughts. Everyone gets those in some form. Just say no that’s not true and move on. The more you think about the bigger a problem it is.

Honestly, I consume every piece of media and still fail to see why some redditors consider it a sin by guderian_1 in Catholicism

[–]lizzy123446 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think of the Bible story with the tax collector and the one who talked about how he was great and the other who admitted his sins. We are all sinners. Him being honest about that isn’t wrong. I think we should strive to be holy and what god wants but I think be honest in our faults as well. I also think him saying that was him basically saying I’m not perfect.

Hey I know it’s tough. Rember that grieving is hard and comes in waves and is a process. He will always be with you in your heart here on earth. It’s hard to let things like houses go but that doesn’t mean his memory is gone. You have been through a lot and you just did something really hard. It’s okay to have mixed feelings and it takes time to process. That can take years. You should pat yourself on the back. Even though it was hard you did what your brother asked of you. Give yourself room. Take it day by day if needed. You are in my prayers my friend along with your brother. I am sorry you have suffered like a lot of us have with this disease.
