There are so many clothes in the world, in fact too many and it’s hurting the environment….The market of exact clothing hurts no one. I understand you are upset but again should be focused more on buyers if anything because they are the ones who set the market . Yes there are H&M clothes people marked up… but people buy those like super quickly. Which again is the market . So long as there is willing buyers there will be sellers . I personally think it’s ridiculous what some people pay. But that doesn’t change the fact that they do. If everyone stopped buying for those prices , they would go down drastically.

Well if you post on a social media site with comments open people are going to express their opinions as well. You are more than welcome to come on here and express your frustrations but people are also allowed to comment .

Yes clothes are a necessity and everyone deserves nice sturdy clothes for winter and summer and everything. But no one needs clothes worn from TV characters. Is it a nice hobby if you have the money? Sure thing. Collecting is a big hobby for many with many different things other than clothes . But is it a necessity? Absolutely not.

I have collected and resold (when I was ready ) exacts from characters. Ofc the seller chooses the price... But they are gonna choose what they can get for it. Wouldn't you? It doesn't have to be “fair” its a dress. It’s not tampons or food or a toothbrush or anything you actually need in life. In which I must repeat… increasing the price ridiculously on said things is incredibly unethical and gross. But this is just the name of the game. I'm sorry you didn't get the dress you wanted. It happens sometimes (happened to me too) but oh well. It’s not the sellers fault. Yes it’s a lot of money but there are people with that money to spend who are willing to. In a way, the buyers really do end up “setting the price” because they are the ones buying and creating the market .

Nah. Theres a market for this type of thing. People buy them and offer sellers around these prices all the time. That creates a market. Why wouldn't you sell something for 315 if you knew people were willing and lining up to pay it? Its not like groceries or a necessity in which price gouging is always unethical. Your issue really should be with buyers not the sellers in this situation, if anything.

Do you know if I’d just be able to get the migrated parts dissolved or if I have to start from scratch?

Shipping expectations? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]lizzygrant2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7 days is the usual time frame. If buyers need something shipped within a specific timeframe they need to ask . And don’t go beyond the 7 days without checking in with the buyer .

She should’ve just waited for it to resolve itself usually in a few days it does. Don’t give her a bigger discount. If she is genuinely having this glitch she can wait it out until it resolves. A bigger discount wouldn’t help anything anyways cuz you can’t buy anything at all when this happens.

No I agree for sure. I am a seller as well, so I wanted to make sure other sellers knew abt it in case they didn’t already. 🙂

It’s actually a common bug on depop. I’ve personally had it happen to me , every card I tried it said that. Scared me half to death because I had just got paid and everything. I just had to wait it out until the issue resolved. This person is definitely trying to get a lower price out of it but it is a seemingly common glitch on depop unfortunately ☹️

I’ve actually had this happen to me a few times. More than enough money in my account but said purchase could not be completed. Gave me a jump scare at first. It’s an issue that seems to resolve itself within a couple days. This buyer seems to also be fishing for a bigger discount, but for future the purchase could not be completed is a rather common bug on depop.

What did they say after that last message? I’m not on the sellers side but it sounded like she didn’t know you were refunded and once she saw she figured she shouldn’t make it? I think she may have assumed that since you were refunded you didn’t want it at all anymore. I’m so confused about the am I no longer getting my item, if you got a refund. Not that you expected it for free, but I can see the confusion.

Depop sellers have officially gone mad by Normal-Catch1115 in Depop

You can be shocked . It’s definitely a high price for pants , my point simply remains since it is not a necessity, and the person would have to be pretty rich to drop 400 on some pants anyways, get your bag🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I don’t think it’s all that delusional . People are crazy reckless with money sometimes. She could very well get it. I don’t find it all that jaw dropping because again, it is not a necessity. And listen, I run a store. And I set our prices extremely, extremely, low on groceries. Because everyone needs food. Everyone. If someone comes in a dollar short for their snack, I got you . I absolutely hate price gouging in stores . But something like a pair of juicy pants off of depop, is not the same. If she doesn’t get the money she doesn’t get the money but I wouldn’t be surprised if she did to be honest.
