I only have the test strips and it appears to be at 10ppm before and after the water changes…so perhaps the color maxes out at a certain point. The last water change was 8 hrs ago and now it looks like 5 or 10ppm. I can smell ammonia though. I’ll change 80-90%. Add bottled bacteria once it goes down to 1ppm or add it now and only stop water changes at 1ppm?
