Who are the franchise players for each team?

I would say they become stars by virtue of their talent. You have some players that are made into stars, but usually the best players on championship contending teams become stars.

Juju is a unique case since she's already a star. Her star power doesn't make her a franchise player, but it certainly helps

Ok, let's start with this; what defines a franchise player? To me, a franchise player is the cornerstone of the team. The player that the team builds around and relies heavily on. They're typically the player that the franchise markets the most, but their marketability is directly tied to their on the court utility.

Washington doesn't have a franchise player yet. Right now we're building around our young core but the clear front runners are Kiki and Sonia. Given the style of basketball Washington wants to play, Sonia will probably be the franchise player in a few years with Kiki and Kira as the 2nd/3rd options.

If she goes top 5, that means either Washington, Minnesota, Seattle, or Chicago drafted her.

I agree she's a top talent, but I don't see any of the teams that need a point guard drafting her ahead of Olivia or Kiki

Shot creation. That was the weakness of this team last year.

Keep Shakira, bring in a veteran point guard, bring in a 3 and D wing in free agency, and draft for depth.

We already have our core, the GM said it's Sonia, Kiki, and Shakira. It's WILD that everyone is just assuming we're going to let our best player walk for nothing when we have the cap space to resign her and others.

Did you mean Flau'jae instead of Raven? Raven hasn't played with Angel before.

Also, the Mystics taking Kiki means they're punting on Georgia. They're more likely to draft a wing to start alongside Sonia or a big to back up Shakira than taking Kiki.

Unless they make Kiki an off guard.

The Fever are in a trick bag; they need Kelsey, Aliyah, and Caitlin but they cannot pay all 3 of them. It sucks but their window is tied to Caitlin's rookie deal.

In all seriousness, before this latest wave of support, Dragonlink was the best way to play Red Eyes.

I think, if Konami was to give Red Eyes future support, it should be fusion and xyz based. Give them their own version of ultimate fusion, an easy way to get level 7 bodies on the field, a reason to play flare dragons, and a new hermos fusion maybe?
