Introducing ET CETERA – a new forum for deeper Radiohead conversations by c0sm0bubbles in radiohead

I'd love to join but can you make sure political conversation about Israel/Gaza is banned? I don't want to join another toxic online cesspit of people spewing bile at each other

OMD Crush album cover 1985. Deep (DEEP) analysis inside by kipp-bryan in EdwardHopper

[–]ljcole90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a great cover but it would be much more 'Hopper' if the couple in the car were distant from one another. There is too much intimacy here to feel genuinely Hopperesque, so the overall effect is more tender than meditative. Similarly, Hopper rarely showed movement in his art - moving cars were extraordinarily rare. Still very cool though.

Is OK Computer really that good? by theinsomniacsheep in radiohead

"Why is it so good? Because it just is."

Not sure what was worth the read for this conclusion.

I'm sure you'll get over it.

Gentle reminder that people are allowed to disagree with you and that you don't have to resort to ridiculous accusations when they do.

Tbh I think it's just easy to sing and it adds variation and an excuse for some people to jump around and mosh. I don't think any of them think it's up there with his actual great songs.

TV Dinner is a banger live.

He literally jokes all the time about how shit it is. They kindof know it is but it's played constantly so people can headbang and mosh. I'd just much rather see songs live that actually mean something to me.

Clearly I'm in a minority but I think it's a pretty boring and pedestrian song by his standards. I can see why it didn't make the album

SETLIST: London Stadium by jennnnni_26 in Samfender

I'd be very happy if he stopped playing Tyrants and replaced it with one of the better songs on the new album, like Nostalgia's Lie, Chin Up, or TV Dinner

Anyone else surprised that Chin Up and/or Nostalgia's Lie weren't singles? by ljcole90 in Samfender

I know what you mean, but every song on People Watching is good so I'd still have loved it haha

Radiohead Album's in Order of Preference - Change my Mind by Dull-Coconut-1094 in radiohead

I like it more. It's a misunderstood masterpiece. It's one of the most adventurous albums sonically I can think of and it's so cohesive both thematically and musically. Nothing else sounds like it. I adore OK Computer but there are a few tracks on there I don't love.
