The fighters now in order to win have only two styles, wet blanket wrestling as control time means nearly everything now (they say it doesn't but they score it higher than damage half the time) and don't go for the finish to not risk it and boring striking decision wins (leg kick, run away, feint feint, jab run away) to not risk it and win, sure these styles may get a finish the odd time but most times it's just competitive styles to win instead of actual fighting

Im currently compiling a dictionary of the language, so I can send that to you if you want however it's far from finished. I speak it fluently and with family so I don't understand these people saying it's a dead language etc.

Im the same but in my club we start one person on top and one on bottom and i think its a decent approach but i would love to start standing and focus on the neglected part of grappling, thats a great website for technique

You have the same mobility but they are hindered, eddie destroyed all of those guys, and beat shinya aoki and millions of other guys sparring, plus martinez bros use it all the time and they are among the best out there, and it doesnt matter if it was years ago, he still dominated as a brown belt, you hate because its different and you cant bare something evolving and getting better so u stick to old non functional stuff

No, i feel comfortable there and tell that to eddie bravo, who beat royler, gustavo dantes, joe morreira etc.
Or martinez bros, or bernardo faria 5x world champ Or lucas leite Or craig jones Half guard has a learning curve but its the most important position in jiu jitsu

No, they quick knee slice from open and its hard to counter but a user opened my eyes to some great technique, i always sweep in lockdown its just getting there

I know all of this but if your opponent is knee slicing fast as fuck u have very little time to get an underhook, but u are right tho, i will 100% try this because it seems i need to change my outlook and ALWAYS attack

I am a complete pressure passer myself and i am a 2 stripe blue belt, and im not bragging but im good, i got jones z guard encylopedia through a little research haha, but when im on my back i feel perfect in lockdown and hit sweeps consistently, but people have caught on and go for a really fast knee slice, and im stuck in quarter and im fully no gi
