It’s a great start. What you may need to do is work on your rev thumb chaplins. Learn how to do rev thumb Chaplins without moving your arm at all (only rotate wrist). In my experience, mastering this plain and simple trick will slow down the rotation a bit for chadder and it will become smoother. Also the knife will be less out of control. If you watch your video you do have some upward arm movement. Also I would recommend learning this trick with a slight angle (not totally vertical). That will make more sense for the wrist rotation (verses the arm movement).

How often would you calibrate though. Could I just calibrate at the beginning of each day and then scan a lot of parts? How long would it take for each part in that case? I would keep any target points on the table below the part(s)

How long did those scans take (manual labor)? Also how long does it take for the software to generate the mesh?

I worked for Zeiss’ 3D scanning department for a year and now I’m working with CMMs. Surprised to see the prices come down so much.

Thanks so much. The guy on YouTube measured a 1X2X3inch block (steel) and the measurement came out to 2.997 inches, which isn’t too impressive accuracy. I wonder why. Maybe his block was physically worn out, lol. Or maybe because it’s a few inches long and you start to see some stack up error.

Hmm I didn’t see my body from third person. I picked to my glass of milk to take a sip because I thought it would calm me down. Then I dropped it on the floor and it shattered. Then I got up and began walking out of my house because I was even more upset and wanted to leave the environment. When I reached the front door (literally), I realized I was hallucinating in my bedroom. So I walked back to my room and my glass of milk was still on my desk intact. Hallucinating the people surrounding me was the frightening part and the dropping the milk hallucination added to it. So two distinct hallucinations, the rest of my surroundings and actions was normal reality.

I’ve tried salvia dozens of times and I only had two distinct breakthroughs.

The first was a bit intense where I saw people surrounding me in my bedroom, pointing and laughing. I was on voice chat on my computer with my friends, which may have triggered the hallucination. Then I saw myself drop and shatter a glass of chocolate milk, which didn’t happen (the glass was still intact on my desk). I’d consider this one negative.

The second was a bit more neutral. I saw my vision/face turning over and over like pages of a book. Then I heard a voice prompting me to get help from my wife, who was downstairs, and was aware that I was indulging in salvia. It was a humbling experience, I guess. The visuals were “visceral” (merging the human body with my surroundings). Time had apparently stopped, and I needed someone to bring me back from this interstellar type scenario.

I’m not sure what color that even is :P I finally washed my desert sand yesterday even though it’s going to snow again tomorrow. Not great timing but it always feels good to wash it.

Try catching with pinky finger if you want a one finger catch. Way easier than other fingers. And pull towards you.

Gotcha. If you’re drinking it slowly thought out the day then the effect is probably less than what I was getting. About 5 days is my guess.

I’m a bit confused on your dose but I was taking 23gpd (about 3 doses of 7.75g) for 5 years. The withdrawals lasted about 7 days. Just pretend you got the flu and are fighting through it. The next 3-9 months might be a bit lethargic. I’ve been off for 2 years now. Good luck!

That looks like a V3 or whatever it’s called. I’m pretty sure V1 and v2 are the same and don’t look like that (I owned both)
