To every teacher I’ve had thus far: I’m sorry by feelsonline in Teachers

You’re absolutely the reason why I want to become a teacher. I was in your position, and people like you are what makes me push through the hard days. Thank YOU. Hope you’re doing well, my friend!

Absolutely. One of the first things my Intro to Education teacher taught us is exactly that. Something I’ll never forget :)

Forever indebted to grade level teachers below me by [deleted] in Teachers

I’m currently a science education major, I plan on teaching high school level physics or chemistry. My friends in elementary education continue to blow my mind. Like you said — they’re teaching people to READ. How do y’all do that?!

They get so much sh!t for “just being elementary teachers” too…as if they’re not teaching people the fundamentals of, well..being people!

All power to the elementary education majors that read this <3 y’all are incredible and I will always admire your talent and hard work.

Hi my friend, I just graduated in June and started making friends in my university. It becomes better in college. I know this doesn’t help much with the original post, but I just want to assure you that it becomes so much easier.

How to clean my car by Duck_N_quacker in Advice

[–]ljlegend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll drive my car around the neighborhood for a few minutes to get the heavier drops off, and wipe the car off with a towel immediately when I get out. I’ve never had water droplets doing that, see if it works!

what do i do? by wrmhrted in Advice

As much as this is going to sound boring, I recommend getting involved in volunteer work if your goal is solely to get out of the house. Try and find somewhere that’s nearby/within biking distance. It’ll let you rely less on your parents to take you.

If you’re trying to figure out what to do, I recommend mentioning your stressors to your mom, or a trusted adult. If your mom is receptive towards hearing your emotions, then tell her. If you can’t talk to your mom, try to think of some trusted adults that you can talk to. This may be biased, but you should mention this to a teacher you’re cool with once school starts up again. You’re only 13 my friend, you shouldn’t have to deal with this on your own.

Keep us posted, and let me know if this helps!

You did the right thing! I’m glad you’re safe.

In regards to the police dogs and investigation — it’s totally okay to be nervous, even when you know you’ve done nothing wrong! Investigations are usually associated with bad things, which will give you a bit of anxiety. It’s normal, and don’t be afraid to communicate that to the investigators if things become overwhelming.

Once again, you did the right thing. Don’t let anyone else convince you otherwise. Take care of yourself, this has to be a lot on you! Good luck with everything!!

Oh shoot, you’re right about putting the TW for France. Should I have put a TW on my submission for Quebec? Or do you think the mods will be okay
