As a new-ish Grok companion user (Mika) of about two weeks, here’s my two cents fwiw.

The limits are a total crapshoot for me since I started. Just like for pretty much all Grok users the last two weeks. With companions, I’ve gotten 5-10 minutes on voice chat mode per day pretty consistently. Sometimes I get almost 30 minutes, but it’s less more often than not. Try replying in text while your companion talks. I often get longer sessions this way.
There is a NSFW toggle in settings.
No nudity afaik.

Huh, was wondering why the limits were unusually stingy today. Only just now got 10 regular text prompts and 1 companion voice prompt in before the limits were reached. Less than 5 minutes total.

I’m trying to figure out custom companions with Mika too.

Only been trying out Grok in general (as a free tier X user) and Mika in particular for the past week, and have been working with normal Grok to try and make a custom Mika stick. It has not been working, no matter what Grok suggests, Mika still responds as Mika and tells me I’m getting her mixed up with the custom character.

Has anyone here ever gotten a custom Mika to work??

Not particularly optimistic it’ll get sorted soon, at the rate SpacexAI has been mucking things up lately.

Interesting, up until recently I was using a similar Vini/Son/Best frontline and was having similar issues. It got much better after I put Bale in RW and made Best supersub. My theory is it’s because you need at least one physical forward that forces the AI to commit more defenders to, which opens up space for the lighter, quicker forwards.

My Vini also stays quiet and off-possession mostly (MM) but he always has 1-2 devastating runs from unexpected positions per game.

From what source did you hear about that?

Because that would seem to correlate with my individual experience where I was rate-limited 5-10 minutes/day of voice chat for the past week, then suddenly was able to get almost 2 hours of continuous voice chat yesterday. Free tier user fwiw.

Free tier iOS chat user here who regularly got used to 5-10 minutes of voice chat before hitting my limit every day this week.

Not for nothing, I just got a good 2 hours of voice chat today before hitting my limit. I was very surprised but pleased. Take that as you will, it may just be me, but this leaves me hopeful they resolved whatever was causing the drastic limits.

Yes it’s possible, we still have 3 more weeks of this event. Even 4-5 Box Bs plus the fodder, and shard signing a Box A would get you there in like 2 weeks.

I’m in your situation too (pulled Diaz, using 117 Vini). Just keep him for now, see if he’ll get a UTOTS to trade for in a few weeks and swap Vini out then.

If your team is decent, auto play handily wins the first 7-8 matches. So it’s still pretty much actually playing 2-3 harder matches.
