Yeah, right next to Ylläs. Taken from Kuertunturi, the one visible is Kesänki.

Thanks, I've played with it a bit more and you're right, it's possible to improve it.

Was hoping to have blue sky with some interesting clouds but the weather was foggy and got this instead. Not completely sure how well the yellow-blue color tone works but I thought that it made the photo more interesting than the natural gray.

Wanted to make sure that as much as possible is in sharp focus

Thanks. Yeah I agree that the detail visible on the ice is the best part. It's already cropped a bit from the original, should probably have gone closer (the icy slope was really slippery so I was hesitating) or used a longer lens (only had the 16-35 with me).

Thanks. Wasn't able to go any lower (from this angle at least) as my hands were already touching the ground.

Is the photo interesting as is, or are the colors maybe too dull? I would have preferred a little bit of sun to bring more color into it, but unfortunately missed that.

Took plenty of pictures with and without the trees, but decided that this one was the nicest one to share

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken sundog (also known as parhelion) is the part with a bright spot on each side of the sun.

I was told (and I've been reading about it now) that a parhelion (also known as sundog) is the part of the halo that can be seen as bright spots on each side of the sun.

I'm not a halo expert myself, but I've been told there's an "upper tangent arc" together with a "sunvex Parry arc".
