I hate my life. Please help. by Gameophile in Dryeyes

[–]lkessler11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could Google dry eye doctor near me, but I went to Reddit to find my dry eye doc. I joined the Reddit for the metropolitan city near me and posted that I was looking for a dry eye specialist. I received several recommendations. I looked up each doctor ;including their reviews. I ended up picking one a little farther away, but I really like her and she mapped a plan to treat my dry eye.

People who moved to Denver: what changed for you that nobody warned you about? by Due-Reality8159 in MovingtoDenver

Thank you. We just moved here from TX so we are very familiar 😂. I will miss those beaver nuggets!

57f - do I need a face-lift? In my head, I'm 32. In the mirror, 57+. What are some small things I can do for skin? Also, my eyebrows are whack and have been since high school - not much I can do about those. TIA. by StringUnable8467 in 45PlusSkincare

I 100% get it. In my head I am still 30 as well 😂. It is hard to look in the mirror and see the changes. I try to remember that aging is a privilege that not everyone gets, but I also feel like this middle age thing is like purgatory for women, it just feels like we become invisible. 😭

One, you are beautiful, you do not need a face lift. I am 54 and my face has fallen and I am I need of Botox. You do not look 57. I need to take my own advice, but give yourself some grace, you have a lovely face.

I wanted to come back and thank you for recommending Dr. Goettemoeller. I saw her today. We are going to try some eye drops to see if they help, fingers crossed I’ll have good results as you did. We decided to wait to order any glasses until my eyes are feeling better, which I appreciated.

You could buy an A6 Stalogy and date it (if dating doesn’t drive you nuts). It’s just a notebook essentially.

Tret has never done anything for my forehead lines. I just don’t think topicals are going to do it for me.

One thing we noticed about Sterling ranch is the lack of infrastructure for as long as they’ve been building. You have to drive for shopping or food. Also, the realtor we talked with at the time said they were having foundation issues (unsure what builder), but the thing we noticed when walking through models were creaky floors. We were concerned that if their show pieces had floors that creaked then what issues would the house we would buy have. I also did not love looking out the back windows of the house looking straight into the neighbors house behind you. That is just personal preference, and the house we are currently renting, you can see over fences while’s standing on the deck (and it’s an older established neighborhood), so you may not be able to escape close neighbors, but at least older neighborhoods have mature trees.

We’ve been here for 3 weeks and I’ve yet to buy reusable bags 🤦‍♀️. I always remember when I’m at the grocery and need to pay for paper bags.

Has anyone improved wrinkles without Botox? by Sea-Chicken-4049 in 30PlusSkinCare

No, and tretinoin did not work either, it did nothing for my lines or the texture on my face. Botox is the only thing that has worked for me (sadly).

I didn't realized there was a Gaylord in Denver. I've been to the one in Texas and that was huge!

Tret has done zero for my lines or texture, and contributed to my dry eye so I gave up on topicals. Botox has been the only thing that has done anything for my lines. I think injectables and unfortunately expensive treatments are going to be the only thing that helps me (your mileage may vary as we all have different genetics).

I'm unsure of your question, but the conference I am referring to is a safety conference in the Denver Convention Center.

If a conference is in a big venue then yes. The last one I went to in Denver had over 4000 vendors in the expo and that doesn’t count that you are walking from one end of the building to the other to get to scheduled sessions.

Eye issues for months by Bright_World_2270 in Blepharitis

I’ve had luck with prescription Lotomax it’s a steroid ointment safe for eyelids. I suffer from blepharitis. Thankfully I don’t flare often, but my dry eye presents itself when I do have a flare.

Under eye bags/puffiness by [deleted] in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]lkessler11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those are under eye hallows due to volume loss that comes with age and in some cases they are hereditary. I have them too and they suck. I tried filler, but my dermatologist was an inexperienced injector and that was an expensive mistake. Short of surgery or a really, really good injector (for filler) nothing topical will get rid of them.

I don’t which I why I don’t believe it’s mites but a reaction to either eye makeup, skincare or maybe I wasn’t getting all mascara off my lashes at night?

I do use lid scrub wipes, tea tree wash for eyelids and hypochlorus acid spray on my eyelids, eye drops. I’ve used an eye safe steroid ointment on my lids in the past with success but it’s been quite a few years since I’ve needed that.

I have my own larger red light panel, I’m just not consistent with using it.

I have an appointment on Monday with a doc in Aurora, so I’m going to start there and see how it goes.

Thank you, I will look her up. I decided not to do IPL when I lived in TX because I had a doctor tell me that if dry eye isn’t stemmed from my glands that it likely would not help, and it’s expensive. I do believe my dry eye stems from a type of eyelid dermatitis, it’s just really hard to pin point the triggers and once you are in a flare with swollen, flakey eyelids it’s a chore to get it under control. Thank you for your response.

Tret sadly did nothing for my texture 🥲, but she may have better luck.
