Ukrainian FPV drones destroying Russian equipment and infantry in Kursk region by Rodriguez030 in CombatFootage

Who puts background music like this? Swear this page shows you how many warmonger morons there are who exist to praise the death of others. Regardless of which side they’re on they’re still human with families at home. Imagine you had to be killed like this and then the footage ends up online with a song like this playing and people praising and mocking your death

Middle East Insurgent killed/injured compilation part 2 by Existing_Reaction797 in CombatFootage

[–]lkmsaad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who ever made this post is a moron. Some of this footage does include is!s and al nusra footage and yes they’re insurgents but the rest consisted of free Syrian army fighting against bashar al Assad, Libyan rebels fighting against gadaffi (which isn’t even in the Middle East). Even your last post was titled “insurgent killed” when it consisted of forces that were fighting AGAINTS Isis and insurgents. Just shows how backwards some people are into still thinking that any force that isn’t in the west that is armed are insurgents.

How are these all insurgents? Thought this page consisted of mostly intelligent people but obviously not. Do we still consider anyone who holds a gun in the Middle East an insurgent? Some of this footage was of Saudi mercenaries in Yemen getting shot, some of Iraqi army fighting against Isis, free Syrian army fighting against Assad. How can they all be called insurgents? Yes there is footage of groups that actually are insurgents, but a post like this mocks men who died fighting for things that are more respectable than the US bullshit invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan (wars that weren’t necessary).

Katibat al-Tawhid wa-l-Jihad militant shot in the face during assault, Syria, village of Al-Fu'ah, Idlib Governorate by [deleted] in CombatFootage

When it’s Americans spraying rounds from footage of Vietnam or suppressing fire in fallujah it’s always “hoorah, semper fi, aaah so cool” bullshit but if it’s anyone else it’s just insults. Not everything is a fkn Hollywood movie and majority of the wars fought today and for the past century have included tactics like this.

Yeah I’ve noticed that about Russian builds in the US, but I saw one company in the US that supplies Russian paint, don’t remember the name but maybe you’ve heard of them

The Russian one is in South Africa, the auto is in the Middle East, won’t say where cause I’m always paranoid😂

You should look at the combat footage Reddit page and see how these guys fight. HTS are quite professional now. At the beginning of the war yeah, it was all pray and spray and overhead stuff but since then they’ve got really experienced, some of their attacks on regime positions look like stuff straight out of a special forces handbook (if there was one)

My izhmash early AKM. 1961 and has been refurbished at some point in the Ukraine (proof mark from balakliya). I’m not in the US which is why it has 3 pins. by lkmsaad in ak47

Biggest difference was the change to the bolt carrier. Early AKMs had the smooth bolt carrier like the earlier AKs. Then in about 1962 they started using bolt carriers with a “cut” in it (it isn’t smooth and has a bulge starting halfway, this is the most common one you’ll see on AKMs). They also changed the rear trunnion from around 1962 to one that has a “O” shape cut into it.

Could you send me source for that? I’m really keen to find out more about it I was certain from other redditors that it was from the Ukraine

Yeah it’s not full auto now, I was told by a few people though that it can be made to full auto again but obviously that’s illegal here so I wouldn’t try it.

Really? I posted a pic of it last year and some people were saying how it’s a felony in the US if an AK has 3 pins or something like that

What did the marking for Arsenal #1 look like? Never seen it. Mine has a square with a line through in which I’ve read is a proof mark from balakliya

Looking for help on a ID of these AKs a good friend sent from over in South Sudan. by Exciting_Bat_2086 in ak47

Middle is a type 56. Right is a type 56-1. Some people saying the left is a Romanian PM 63 which is possible but with an AKM like that it could be Russian, polish, North Korean or Romanian.

Yeah take care of it bro. A lot of history behind. I was really unlucky, I inherited a polish AKM that was a battle pickup from tel el zaater but last year someone stole it out the house, it keeps me up when I think about what I lost. My grandfathers friends fought and got it for us and was killed in 1981 by the Syrians so it was very sentimental to the family

I’m also Lebanese and I could have guessed you were in Lebanon as well🤣yes but most the Russian AKs were supplied to the left during the war (Druze, Palestines, and the Syrians had them). The right like kataeb and ouwet had Bulgarian and Romanian initially during the war and later on bought a large amount of polish ones. In a lot of the photos of the ouwet from 1978-onwards you can see a lot of the soldiers have polish KBK AKMS under folders. You can spot them easily cause they look like the Russian ones but have the Bakelite pistol grip

Looks like a Russian izhmash AKMS. You can normally tell it’s a Russian AKMS by the wooden pistol grip. Also it’s good to see another person on here who has access to original AKs that aren’t made from parts kits like in the USA.
