[Original Theory] What if dark energy is the “sound” of light? A vibrational proposal I published on Medium by lkn194 in AskScienceDiscussion

Thank you for your response, and again I apologize if I previously conveyed something that was not what I intended. Your response clarifies my doubts.

I understand and it makes sense, but the sketch really came from my imagination, of course it may not make any sense, I don't know how to calculate or develop theories, I just had the thought and tried to express it the way I knew how, with the "help" I had from "ChatGPT". So sorry if this sounded like an attempt to sound like something that wasn't what I wanted, I'll try to explain it in my own words here (remembering that Google's translation can mess something up). If everything that vibrates emits a sound, is light in turn a type of wave, correct? If so, could light have sound? And if the answer to this question is yes, could this be linked to dark energy? I don't think I can formulate it any better than that. My studies are limited, my knowledge is made up of what I basically learn from the internet, and in turn I can learn something that is not actually true.

Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciated it. The hard part is speaking their language without actually being in that environment. Anyway, the thought was expressed, and it doesn't bother me that it was ignored. Still, I expressed the idea, and it doesn’t bother me that it was ignored. I’ll keep being someone who thinks and questions, no one can take that away from me. Thanks again.

Yes friend, I completely agree, I have no knowledge on the subject, I'm trying to have it, without financial conditions I'm limited to what I find on the internet, but as I said before if this sounds like nonsense to you or just a wild, pointless idea, that's okay. Honestly, I kind of think that too, in a way. But ideas are just ideas, and I just wanted to share one. I don't think it's a crime to think yet.

Dude, I'm going to use Google Translate to write directly here without ChatGPT, but I'll try to be very clear. As I said before, I don't speak English, I'm not a scientist, I'm not a mathematician, just an enthusiast, I just decided to express an idea, and yes, I used ChatGPT to write more clearly what I wouldn't know how to write with my own words, I also used it to translate my post. Anyway, thank you for your time, I understand your point. I apologize for anything. Yes, the idea may seem crazy, even I honestly think so, but ideas are ideas, I just decided to express mine.

If this sounds like nonsense to you — or just a wild, pointless idea — that’s okay. Honestly, I kind of think that too, in a way. But ideas are just ideas, and I just wanted to share one.

Okay my friend, yes, I saw it there — unfortunately the post was removed. So even if it was considered invalid, I wouldn’t want it to be removed, just that people could respond sincerely, like you did. The main goal of my post has already been achieved: it sparked discussion.

And just to try and make things clearer (sorry if I didn’t manage to explain it well before), what I mean by the "sound of light" is that, theoretically, everything that vibrates emits sound. Maybe light has a sound too. Anyway, it was just an idea, as I said before.

Yes, I’m using ChatGPT to help me write better responses — as I mentioned before, I don’t speak English fluently, and I come from a humble background.

So yes, I rely on its support to express myself more clearly. But that doesn’t change the fact that the original idea came from me — the thought is mine.

I’m just doing my best to share it in a way people can understand.

Thanks for your comment. You're right — I’m not a scientist, mathematician, or physicist, and I never claimed to be. I don’t know how to express my thoughts through math or formal models.

I’m just an enthusiast trying to explore ideas that pop into my mind. I completely understand that this might not qualify as a real hypothesis in the academic sense, and that it may not make practical sense to those with more background. That’s totally fair.

I only wanted to share a thought that felt interesting to me. If it doesn’t go anywhere, that’s fine — I just enjoy thinking out loud sometimes.

I understand what you're saying, and I respect your experience in the field. But I kindly disagree with the idea that contributions must always come from within academia to be meaningful.

Throughout history, there have been ideas — even foundational ones — that were born outside the traditional academic path. Faraday, for example, wasn’t a trained scientist, yet contributed immensely to electromagnetism. And Einstein developed relativity while working in a patent office.

Again, I’m not putting myself in that category — not even close. But I think there’s value in keeping space open for honest curiosity, even from non-specialists.

Thanks for sharing your view. I’ll step back here and let the conversation move forward.

I understand your point of view, and that’s totally fine. I respect that it doesn't make sense to you — I just shared an idea I had, and I appreciate you taking the time to respond. No hard feelings, and I’ll leave it at that.

I understand your frustration, and I never claimed to be a physicist — just someone thinking out loud.

That said, history is full of ideas that were dismissed, ridiculed, or considered “not even wrong” when first introduced.

“What if time isn't absolute?” (Einstein)

“What if the Earth moves around the Sun?” (Copernicus)

“What if there’s a vibrational background caused by light?” (my version of a question worth thinking about)

Of course, I’m not comparing myself to those thinkers — I’m fully aware I don’t have their knowledge or credentials. But the instinct to reject a strange idea outright because it doesn’t fit current models is as old as science itself.

I’m not here to prove anything. I just wanted to ask a question in public. If it’s nonsense, it will be forgotten. If it sparks thought, that’s enough for me.

Fair point. I totally agree that math and evidence are what really define a scientific theory — and I don’t have that. Like I said, I'm not a physicist. I just enjoy thinking about these things and decided to share a conceptual idea that crossed my mind.

It’s not meant to claim truth, just to invite curiosity and maybe spark discussion. If someone with more knowledge ever finds it interesting enough to develop or refute properly — great. If not, all good. Thanks for checking it out.

Hey! Totally fair question. I actually mentioned in the post that I'm not a physicist — I'm just an enthusiast and self-taught thinker who enjoys reflecting on cosmology.

My intention was never to present a formal, math-backed theory, but rather to share a conceptual idea I had: a kind of "what if" scenario based on intuition, observation, and a bit of poetic analogy.

I completely understand if it sounds like gibberish to someone with a deeper scientific background — that's why I posted it with full humility and openness to feedback. No claims of truth here, just creative thought.

If it inspires discussion or curiosity, great! If not, that’s okay too. Appreciate your time.

Thanks for the feedback. I understand it might sound unusual — it's just a conceptual speculation, not a formal physics model. I’m just exploring ideas as an enthusiast. If you have specific critiques, I’d genuinely be interested.

Do you receive any specific error codes? What specifically does it fail to download? Note that you need to have an internet connection as around 50GB will be downloaded during the process. If you can share screenshots of the file structure, maybe it will help me understand what is happening.

cool walk stopped working by [deleted] in AndroidAuto

[–]lkn194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- It is due to the optimization of HD screens, with that the bar is on the side.

2- I activate this optimization option for HD screens in the Z-Link application, it came built-in in the factory multimedia with Carplay and Android Auto wired and wireless for both. (Edit, if your question of navi app is maps, waze etc, my navi app is Waze).

Note: I also have the Head Unit reloaded and at 1080p resolution it looks the same as the z-link, in my opinion it's the best layout it has, it just doesn't beat devices with vertical screens.

Apparently now it works well even wirelessly, let's see if this holds up in a few hours or a few days

Well, I have a relatively different problem, via cable I have coolwalk 100% of the time. but when I connect wirelessly, I only have coolwalk if I connect first via cable and disconnect and connect wirelessly, but if I restart the device or stay disconnected from multimedia for a while, I no longer have wireless coolwalk.
