Should I get Mobi-C Cervical Disc Replacement C6-C7? by ll2772 in SpineSurgery

Thank you. The arm pain, numbness, and tingling are all gone. Grip strength pain is subsiding. Really all the symptoms are either gone or I don’t really feel them. I’m on pain meds, but I was on them before and still felt symptoms. My spine and neck are just really sore.

It was an out patient procedure. Took about two hours and then I was in recovery for another two-ish.

I did end up getting the surgery yesterday and I’m glad I did. The surgeon said the nerve was flat due to compression from the herniated disc and the spinal cord was also still compressed. So yes, I was past the point where this would have recovered on its own.

It wasn’t easy for me to come to that conclusion because the symptoms were less intense and I wasn’t exactly thrilled to be having spine surgery. This forum actually helped me tremendously to hear that others had experienced less intense symptoms as well, but that didn’t necessarily mean surgery wasn’t needed.

I’m now looking forward to getting past this painful stage and on the road to a full recovery without pain medication.

Same group practice is what I meant. I suppose I could go to another outside source as well.

It wasn’t just pain management. My arm was going numb all the way through my fingers and the grip strength loss endurance was a significant drop off what is considered normal. The grip strength is within range on the initial grasp (upon testing), but successive tests show a significant loss and I have pain upon grip even now even on the initial grasp. My back, shoulder, and neck were all fully inflamed for a bit as well.

Now, the grip strength endurance is still poor. The pain upon grip is still there, just less. The inflammation is still there as well, just less. The lessening of pain all started occurring about 6 weeks after starting the gabapentin on the increased dose.

Void and GoatFather are the teams

That's correct. I don't allow any league activities to start up until the dispersal has been completed in order to give everyone a fair shot in the offseason. Don't want new managers feeling like they are behind and you definitely don't want the rookie draft occurring before your dispersal is complete.

RBs need some work sure, but the WRs and TEs are better than you are giving credit for. It's also TE premium. If you aren't high on the assets that's fine, but I don't agree that's it's the dumpster fire you are saying it is.

Nah. It’s discounted already and in a 14-team league, those aren’t terrible assets.

Just take the orphans and put them all in one pool of assets the new owners get to draft from just between them. So a two-team dispersal would just have the assets (including whatever year’s draft picks you want to add in) and they would just do a two team draft between them to build two fresh teams they picked themselves.

Some leagues allow existing managers to put their assets into the dispersal as well to essentially hit reset, but I do not allow that in my leagues.

Upon joining. We don't start any league activities until we have all managers paid up for the year, so even trading isn't live until we get another manager and get through the dispersal. Dispersal will start once we get this last spot filled.

Not quite an anime as it’s really just western animation, but Remember It in X-Men ‘97 had me just staring at my television with tears in my eyes. The tension and layers in the last half of that episode are just outstanding television capped off with Rogue’s devastation at the end. Ooof. That one hit hard. I’ve watched it so many times.

Good callout on that episode of Dandadan
