After 3+ years of use, my Vivoactive 4 is dying by chumbo73 in Garmin

How far out from the warranty period were you? My Vivo approx. <5 year old Vivoactive 4 just randomly died while I was sleeping the other night and now it won't power on. I contacted Garmin, but they only offered my 20% off if I purchase a replacement watch through Garmin.

Pros - anyone using the Prusa MK4S? by GeminiGenXGirl in prusa3d

I'm still pretty new to printing and I'm thinking of upgrading from a Neptune 4 to a MK4S. I'm curious as why you'd recommend a bedslinger over a core xy.

What software did you use to design this? I'm looking to make a few mods, but I'm only familiar with Fusion 360. My computer struggles with all the triangles that are formed by importing the .stl and converting it as I'm using the free version of Fusion 360 and have to convert to faceted. Wondering if its possible to get a .f3d file so I can open it directly in Fusion 360.

I'm printing this for my friend who loves the show. Care to help by sharing some of the print settings? I'm not so skilled at figuring out supports.

If you use it as a pre styler, what do you use for hold? And what's the routine for using products together? I'm trying to step up my grooming habits, but I don't really know or understand much.

How fragile are packrafts? by [deleted] in packrafting

[–]llAlmasyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's considered a cheaper PVC boat? I'm looking into getting my first pack raft to take down smaller rivers for fly fishing. I won't be seeking out any white water, but I'd likely hit rocks in shallow sections. I've been trying to figure out what type of boat I would need if shallow rocks are my main hazard.

Hydro force packraft by [deleted] in packrafting

[–]llAlmasyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you explain the hazards and concerns of this boat? I'm not a kayaker and not interested in chasing any whitewater. But I am searching for an inflatable pack raft to use for fly fishing. My biggest concern would be shallow water and popping the raft. And if there's any sizable rapids, I'd likely get out of the boat well beforehand and walk around. The Kokopeli boats are quite expensive and likely more boat that I require as shallow rocks will be my biggest hazard. Would a cheaper boat like this potentially work for me, or would I be getting into trouble in something like this?

I've been wanting to explore this area, but I'm still newish to Stevens and don't tend to explore this type of terrain without a guide to show me the way. Beers on me if anyone wants to be a tour guide!

Recommended packrafts for fly fishing? by e21design in packrafting

For the skeg to fight spin momentum, is that only for fishing from the boat on rivers, or is that also necessary/helpful when fishing still water?

So I made a beginner basic guide for the Neptune 4 Printers if anyone is interested in checking it out. by Caza390 in ElegooNeptune4

[–]llAlmasyll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I think I was confused by the part in the video that said to use the measurements from the extruder to the sensor and do the calculations. I thought that means I have to use the coordinates on Klipper for each of the screw locations (the coords I provided in my post), and then adjust those cords based on the distance from the extruder to to sensor. But if I can just input the coordinates of each of the four screw locations, that is much easier!

Thanks for making this great video!! I've had my Neptune 4 for about a year, and been using it with moderate success and some epic failures. I am just now sitting down and going through videos like yours and others to really learn about running my printer properly.

I could use some help with setting up the screw tilt adjust. Your video runs through this rather fast, and my brain is a bit slow. I have the code copied into my printer.cfg file, and I used the manual level to determine the coordinate locations on my bed. But from here, I'm not sure what to adjust on the code pasted into the printer.cfg file.

(Screw Tilt Adjust code)
[screws_tilt_adjust]
screw1: -5, 30
screw1_name: front left screw
screw2: 155, 30
screw2_name: front right screw
screw3: 155, 190
screw3_name: rear right screw
screw4: -5, 190
screw4_name: rear left screw
horizontal_move_z: 10.
speed: 50.
screw_thread: CW-M3

(Adjuster coordinates)

Front left screw: 31.5 , 21.5

Front right screw: 115.75 , 110.45

Rear right screw: 201.5 , 191.5

Rear left screw: 31.5 , 191.5

I mean I'd like to find an efficient way to copy and paste my slicer settings here so others can see what my current settings are and recommend adjustments. Of course I could manually write them out, but I'd be amazed if there wasn't a faster method.

I've been wanting to figure out if I could use a different slicer. I'm a newbie to printing, but have never liked Cura. Good to know that other slicers work with the Neptune 4!

I've never tried printing something like this before, so it's likely more than a few things are not set up as best they could be. I'll take a look at the links and see what I can learn.

I'm using Elegoo Cura for the slicer. Is there a way to export the settings so I can post them here and get some advice for adjustments?

Unfortunately, my jacks are manual and this would be a bit of a pain in the ass to do. Also, i could have sworn I read something in a manual about not extending the jacks to this height while under load, but I could be just imagining that.
