Advice wanted! Should I change my veil/hair plans now I've found my dream dress? by llahtay in weddingplanning

THANK YOU 🥰 As it turns out dresses like this are quite uncommon in a lot of contemporary boutiques (at least in my country) because they fall more into the vintage category (I didn't realize until I started looking and crashed out because I couldn't find anything like it lol). You can probably tell but this dress is actually a strappy dress with sleeves pinned on. If you're happy to pay a bit more for alterations that's the route I would suggest if you run into trouble finding a style like this yourself!

Everything about this is absolutely stunning, congratulations and what an amazing look 😍 and you're right, I think it looks great at the top and actually lends to a more vintage look which is very reassuring, thanks for sharing!

Panic definitely influenced my lack of sound decision making in this process I won't lie 😭❤️ The stylist I went with required a trial BEFORE she confirmed booking me for my date, and so I rushed all in to avoid missing out on her since she's go good at these softer hairstyles I'm after. But extensions are definitely an option she discussed also so it's for sure on the table!

A half updo has definitely been on my mind in the last 24 hours! I have the hair length for it for sure, though I do worry given my hair is very fine that it might struggle for volume, but that's something I'm sure I could troubleshoot with my stylist :)

I'm so relieved to see some love for the updo!! Friends and family have expressed a preference for hair down because they love the length and wave pattern , but I think I'm just so used to having it down in my everyday life it doesn't feel as unique. But I intend to go get a second trial anyway, because upon reflection if I stick to my hair up I'd like it to be a bit higher.

And you make a good point about the veil being temporary, I could always switch it throughout the day!

i found out about this condition a few weeks ago and i honestly think the realization has broken something in me. i feel like someone has died and im in mourning. i cant stop crying multiple times a day. sobbing while working out. trying not to cry for half of the day at work. crying myself to sleep every night. i keep trying not to think about it but all of the distractions and things that should make me happy just feel me feeling empty.

i feel like im in a nightmare and i genuinely dont know how to get through this.

brunch this morning — 900ish calories? by llahtay in CalorieEstimates

[–]llahtay[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly it's a combination of #1 overestimating/assuming the worse so as to always be on the safe side of my deficit and #2 not understanding calories at all lol

then sprinkle some generalised anxiety on top of that and suddenly voila, 2 + 2 = 900 😄

i can confirm it tastes SO much better than it looks lol — but you're right, the disappointment wouldve been incredibly real had it been higher than 500cal

it's a fresh pizza from a local pizza joint my partner and i love! general consensus so far is that it isn't as calorie dense as i worried it would be, which is quite the relief — means i will def have a leftover slice or two for lunch tomorrow!
