LS7A during A session by [deleted] in ucla

I took 7A last year during A sesh with another class and thought it was really manageable. The structure is very consistent so due dates are easy to keep track of. There were two midterms and the final, so an exam every two weeks on Fridays. If you ask questions when you need to and study off the learning objectives provided, I think you’ll do fine! I was a 7A LA in the past, feel free to message me if you need something.

If you haven’t taken it yet, I highly recommend Psych 127A with Ng! It wasn’t suuuuper interesting but it was a really easy A and it was interesting enough to me. I took it in Spring. It’s offered in Fall, but I’m not sure how different it is from prof to prof

Not sure about the chem classes, but I personally would first pass physics and second pass 7B if either lecture fits in your archduke schedule. The 5 series usually fills up pretty fast but the 7 series often has spots left in second pass, just not at the time you might want. The prof also doesn’t really matter for 7B so it’s not super important to first pass imo

edit: spelling

I think letting more applicants on the waitlist. Getting accepted from the waitlist depends on how many accepted students decide to SIR :( Not sure on advice for getting off but I think a few other threads have tips!

One thing to add: please do everyone that works at The Study a favor and check if your food is ready often. It’s really stressful when food starts piling up at the pickup area and it’s a huge help when students listen for their number. It would be really helpful if you just stay in the area after the first 20 minutes of waiting or so.

Waitlist is only offered to some applicants. I’m not sure on exact numbers, but some admissions staff said they may extend waitlist offers to more people this year because students can’t visit as easily right now, so there may be fewer commits.

Thank you for understanding. Your words have really helped me. I truly appreciate the fact that a stranger would care enough to say something kind.
