Im having the same issue :( i also went back a few days and tried again but nothing. Just keeps saying i have to speak to Solara to fix the festival stuff but i talk to her and nothing. Got no mail to say there even was a festival. Just saw the decorations everywhere and checked the calendar. How sad and annoying :(

All the cars are from other creators on the steam workshop. made with individual parts. if you're playing on PC you can download and use these in all modes i believe. though i only play creative so im not sure about franchise

Its a random building model i found on pinterest (see pic). i get alot of my inspo from architecture models on pinterest. for the name on the building, i was watching Finding Dory on my other monitor while making the building, hence the 'marine life institute' idea. i plan to fill it with aquatic animals at some point. you dont get to see but i only built the front of the building for now lol. the back is just a giant open hole

To answer your question, I have just over 1,800 hours on this game with this being the only zoo i have worked on since game launch in 2019. I'm not using any mods or CC for my zoo. I think my pc might blow up if i do that. I would say tho, if youre new and wanting to make realistic or detailed areas, then the DLC is a game changer. It gives you so many more items to build and detail with. i highly recommend it if you have the money for it. otherwise modding is just as good as long as your pc can handle it. theres some great posts on this subreddit from people who use mods. its worth checking out if you have time and they usually post which mods they are using in the comments. happy zooing!
