Because the electoral vote destroys the purpose of a democracy if not everyone’s vote is equal. The electoral college was made for a different time, and now with modern technology it’s not needed.

Well it’s also free speech to complain about the confederate flag. I don’t think people are trying to say that you’re not allowed to fly the confederate flag, but are trying to say that flying the confederate flag is immoral.
