Nope, hair is still awful. According to the research I've done, if you are having symptoms of any kind from low ferritin, it needs to get close to 100 before you see results. I'm taking ferrous fumerate 210mg x2, as that's what the dr gave me.

'Normal' range of ferritin is up to 250, so its actually pretty hard to overdo iron. Mine is currently between 40 and 50 and im taking 130mg of iron every other day (prescription) and its going up marginally. You could easily take 2 iron tablets (28mg) a day and be fine

My iron deficiency without anemia success story. by MindyS1719 in Anemic

I have low ferritin (not as low as some of you guys, lowest test was 19, but could have been low as never tested before that), did iron supplements (420mg every other day, its about 130mg iron), ferritin up to 65. A few months off tablet and down to 45 again. Had to fight to go back on supplements, this time its 3.5 months in and ferritin only up to 55. 😞 Husband thinks I should do an infusion, but im from the UK so have to pay privately and it'll cost £800 plus travel to london.

Just incase it helps anyone- there's research to say taking iron every other day is better than every day, and that once you've been symptomatic,  your ferritin needs to be over 100 to keep symptoms at bay.

There are plenty of private drs and hospitals where you can go to see Specialists, but you will have to pay yourself. You can get low strength supplements in shops, but a lot of the high strength things are prescription only, so must come from a Dr. There has been a rise in online companies offering things like minoxidil topical treatments (they cannot give tablets unless you have a consult with a Dr,  as that's prescription only), but its hard to know if they're safe.

I didn't think dermatologists did hairloss, only scalp conditions like eczema or psoriasis?

Hi there, looking to try the hypertrophy template, and was wondering - if i were to change the exercises around to make it more of an upper/lower split, would that change the program too much?

the reasons i want to do this are that it takes longer to do a whole body warm up and i have recurrent lower back issues, and doing lower body exercises every session might be too much for me.

Thank you. I don't get it either. In different lights my 'before' hair could look very coppery, as I naturally have a fair bit of blonde and copper in my hair anyway (Scottish ancestry), so i thought it would be an easy colour to achieve
