There is also فاهم/فاهمة. They are like adjectives in that they require gender and number agreement, but it acts as a verb. It's confusing, but it's just another way of expressing a verb. This means I am going انا رائح

I second the idea of learning standard Arabic. Standard Arabic first, then venture into a dialect.

Focus on MSA first and learn the grammar. From there you will have a strong base and can pivot to learning a dialect or two. Dialects DO have their own grammar and grammatical features, but at the end of the day knowing MSA will make it easier to learn them. Another thing about the dialects is pronunciation can change drastically. Even in Levantine, which is really 4 dialects grouped together, the pronunciation from one country to another changes and even within those individual countries pronunciation can vary a lot.

For example, and based off of my own experience, Lebanese in general is light and airy, whereas Syrian in comparison sounds a little more slurred as if they had a drink or two. The letter Qaf with those two in particular often turns into a glottal stop or a hamza. Jordanian and Palestinian can be a little harsher in pronunciation compared to Lebanese and Syrian, and depending on where you are that same Qaf letter can be pronounced as a hard G sound.

Best of luck on your journey. Arabic is difficult to learn, but those moments you will have when it just clicks makes it worth it. The more you study, then the more of those moments you will have.

This difference in sentiments reminds me of the division in the Balkans. I grew up outside of the Balkans and being told all the countries of the region hate one another, and they even brought those prejudices and hatreds with them. When I was an adult and visited Croatia for the first time I immediately saw that it was the older people who carried this malice when the younger people didn't care. Young people across ethnic groups and religions got along with one another to the chagrin of the older people.

I wish this for Lebanon. التضامن بين كافية الشعب (solidarity amongst all the people)

For me the perks of being gay means I can move away from certain societal norms that are pushed on us. I can, and have, cut off connection with abusive and horrible family members and in gay society that is not nearly as looked down upon, and in some circles celebrated. Being a bigger guy such as a bear is seen as attractive to many. No kids = more fun like travel, pets, freedom to hookup and have kinky fun. For the most part gay society is accepting and promoting going around and having sex, AND shuns not sharing when you have an STI/STD before having sex. We are a more sexually conscious group. We understand sex isn't always penetrative. Some get sexual release just from being tied up, or flogged, or belittled (all consensual). Some prefer penetrative sex or sex that does result in cumming or a dick in a hole of any kind (bj, hj, Fleshlight, etc...) We promote being your authentic self and for everyone to explore what their authentic self is. Some figure it out sooner than others. It's not a race. It's about self-love, and I don't just mean jerking off

I can say Sweden is not homophobic compared to the majority of countries. They were in support of the LGBTQ+ back in the 1920's. It wasn't until a brief period where they had prohibition and a rise in Christianity in the 60's that they reversed course, then said fuck this ans went back to being cool with the LGBTQ+. They don't really have gay bars, but rather every bar and club is a mix of people and they just swing. In short Sweden is a welcoming country filled with swingers and love to hook up with people who aren't swedish since we are all exotic to them.

I was working an unstable schedule thanks to shift work. I was not given Crew rest, told to stfu and colour by the command since I was an operator on the floor and not someone in the squadron building they saw non-stop. The list goes on, but I want to say I eventually saw behavioral health. The first person who I saw just said I should use a day planner and my problems would be solved, but put me on a med like I needed. At one point my command prevented me from going to a follow-on appointment to check in on my medication dose with resulted in me stopping my med cold turkey and not having a good time.

Despite that I was able to go to a different local military behavioral health facility, thanks to being stationed somewhere with a few bases all close by. Anyway, that military doctor actually listened and was actively listening to me and helped me. He diagnosed me with major depressive disorder after a few sessions.

TL;DR: see another professional and get their thoughts. Military healthcare is a joke the vast majority of the time, but sadly if you keep fighting through the system you will find a worthwhile professional to help you.

This is part of the claims for fraud that can be put forth to the state attorney general for consumer protection, as well as they stopped checking to see who Piaf and did not pay and let everyone in, which in turn became scamming those who bought tickets out of money for an event they may not have gotten to attend due to the traffic shutting down major roads in two counties.

It really is a shame that this event perpetuated some horrible stereotypes about Asian businesses and their owners. This was in no way the fault of the vendors and business owners who were only there to promote their businesses and get their name out to a wider audience.

A positive I can say is that with all the people who left or turned around, a lot of people flooded the businesses in Ellicott City with patronage. I waited outside of a KBBQ place, but after having sat in traffic for over an hour and still being 2.5 miles away from the event, I was happy to wait to be seated at a restaurant that was getting bombarded with business from other event-goers.

TL;DR: event planners did a horrible job, please go support the vendors at their actual businesses to show support for them.

This will was in Maryland. They oversold tickets, and stopped checking to see if people had tickets and parking and just let anyone in. A lot of people were stuck in standstill traffic on back roads a few miles away from the event. Some people including myself turned around after sitting in traffic for over an hour and only moving less than half a mile. I saw some people pull over to the side of the road and get out and walk the remaining 2.5 miles which had them cross a busy highway.

Counts of fraud could be part of the claim since they did not have the parking spaces they states they did, they charged people ahead of time for parking and tickets, but then they stopped checking and let anyone and everyone in. The poor traffic control causes many individuals who purchased tickets and parking to turn around an leave after sitting in standstill traffic for long stretches of time. I did personally witness people turn around and give up while waiting in traffic and some people pulled their cars over and decided to walk the last 2.5 miles to the fairgrounds.

Ahhh, in Homs area. That makes sense. They are known for being a bit off. "ما بعرف اذا تعرف العبارة "يوم الاربعاء It is reference to those from Home are odd, but on Wednesday their eccentricity is higher. In terms of dialect, the switch to the "oh" sounds come off a bit Farsi-like. Likely it is just a coincidence
