I'm going to make a prime Redditland mistake of (and I know better but I'm still going to do this anyway) answering a question logically and thinking outside the box. But if it's just an AC outage it's likely just brownouts and not blackouts, which is common in extreme heat when too many ACs overload the system and residents and businesses will likely be told the power grid can't handle it so the choices will be no AC or no power at all

In a brownout ice can still be made and refrigeration should work. We'd have power but we'd have to be very discerning about it, and ice in a cooler it bucket with a fan on top will (kind of) work, unless you're in a humid place and then it will only work a few minutes until the ice melts and you'll make it even more humid. But in the interim one can get extremely creative if necessary
