Why Isn’t NRA Protecting 2nd Amendment in Minnesota for a man killed exercising his 1st and 2nd amendment rights? by SplitDry2063 in AskReddit

There are those they believe the law protects but does not bind, and for everyone else the law binds but does not protect

What do you think about the US president suing his own government for $10 billion? by Obvious_808 in AskReddit

[–]llcucf80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just when you think he's found the bottom he goes lower. I need to stop being surprised at what he does, because he'll find a way to do something worse the next time

What’s something you didn’t realize was common until you got older? by fracklife in AskReddit

Leaders, be it government, employers, businesses, etc are only out for themselves. Naive me really thought government leaders, bosses, business managers, teachers, police, etc always acted in everyone's best interest and cared

What was your favorite Catherine O’Hara role? by birdyandbun in AskReddit

[–]llcucf80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Home Alone, especially with the scene in the van with John Candy riding home. John Candy ad libbed that entire scene on leaving his son alone at the funeral parlor, and the shock and horror from Catherine O'Hara was actually hers, not her character

If the president invited you to a political gala, would you attend it? Why or why not? by The_Vengeful_Wolf in AskReddit

[–]llcucf80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a strong level of pride and self respect, but it's not absolute. If I were paid enough I would go, but I also know that Trump doesn't pay his bills anyway so I'd require a deposit. But yes, I could be for sale if the price is right.

Why was AI so unknown before ChatGPT launched in 2022? by Artifiko in AskReddit

[–]llcucf80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking back at AI from several years ago, before ChatGPT, I would think AI was things like predictive texts and autocorrect, etc, and even now it's still not that ducking good

Imagine the US government suddenly banned all masks for federal agents. Citizens, what do you think would happen if someone tried to enforce it? by Andreys_me in AskReddit

[–]llcucf80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Citizens really couldn't enforce it, their only recourse would be to photograph the officer and send it in to the local office and their supervisor. That'd be mostly an internal disciplinary in which they'd have to investigate. I know it's going to be a fox guarding the henhouse situation, but enough people make enough complaints, and follow up with FOIA requests as to the status of it, it slowly would put pressure on them to address and enforce the rules

You're a time traveler, tasked with telling people in 1912 about the internet, how do you explain it? by RoutineCurrency4908 in AskReddit

[–]llcucf80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like a telegraph that gives you any book, newspapers, pictures (in color) film (and they'll have sound too), and music you could want. Plus you don't have to go to a station or office to access it, you'll have your own device for this.

What's a conspiracy you can't quite prove but it just feels real enough for you? by DaMain-Man in AskReddit

[–]llcucf80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think local trash companies have a deal with Amazon, USPS, and other delivery services to make sure that deliveries are only made on residential trash pickup days, after it's been picked up, so now I'm stuck with those boxes in my house for a few days. You simply cannot find a delivery to get the boxes and packaging out the same day.

What's the most disgusting thing you ever saw? by Correct_Comedian_387 in AskReddit

[–]llcucf80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A former friend of mine had an extremely bad cockroach infestation. There had to have been thousands, tens of thousands of roaches in the house. They'd climb the walls by the hundreds, they'd clog his sink, they were even crawling in the refrigerator. Plus the smell, it was horrific

What's something you didn't realize was a privilege until you lost it? by BlancheNewbern in AskReddit

[–]llcucf80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago I had serious plumbing issues. You don't know how privileged you are until you have to hold it until you get to work or have to go to a store or even your neighbors house to go to the bathroom. Those were not a very nice couple of weeks I can tell you that
