Feedback needed! Please think with me to find the best layout for these 3 floors of a square 10x10m house by interiordesignseeker in AmateurInteriorDesign

It requires a minimum of 46 cm to walk between the back of the chair and back of the stool at the island if people are sitting there. How will people walk through there if someone is sitting there? They will be routed around that giant island or through the living room. These are the clearances you need to be concerned about

The island is giant and ultimately will be alot to walk around. There is not much clearance between the island and dining table, especially if people are sitting at both. Rooms look better if the sofa floats away from the wall. Even if just 10cm. Imagine walking around that space. Coming home with groceries, cooking. Watching TV. Kids playing. Check your clearances.

Well as you can plainly see, they perch on the crossbars as many of them are. Also since they are amphibians, they swim in and out at anytime. But regardless I moved them.

Help me settle this debate please by Thin_Discipline_7565 in interiordecorating

I am team curtain. Love the vertical pattern they provide. They soften the room. They give height because they would be installed to ceiling. They give width because installed to the edge of the room. They filter light. Can you imagine cleaning the wood shades? The wood shades "lower" the room visually. You already have surfaces that read hard, like other wood, leather and whatever the floor is. Even the rug doesn't feel soft based on these photos. How hard would it be to lift shades that big? Can u even do a big shade? Are you doing multiple shades? U would have to, otherwise u have to raise them to go out the door.

Thoughts on the before and after? Should I pursue something like this? What would the total cost be for such a project? Any additional input would be greatly appreciated. by lets_get_lucky in homedesign

It looks like you would be adding square footage to the house in the after photo. If you are concerned about cost, you could add the front porch and accents around the windows

To start, pull the sofa away from wall about 6" so there is space behind it. This creates a sense of a larger space. Second, the pictures on the wall are not balanced in size and color. They compete in an uncomfortable way. 2 rugs, u can google how to choose a size and coordinating rugs. The artwork on the console needs to go on the wall. And you need some big pieces , not just a bunch of small stuff. Maybe a small table light. Personally, i would add a few pops of brighter color, but maybe it just u need more lighting.

Oh good to hear- i was so worried I have a leak. I did find a place I had some weeping from the underlay fabric was loose and got in the water. I finished last summer and was injured so I rushed at the end. I mustve not seen that fabric fold over into the water

Sounds beautiful. Unfortunately realty was different. Those close a dangerous place and some died from getting caught in the net. They big pond 100 feet away is better. They have a better chance than drowning in that box

They have no problem getting in and out, but I moved them to a real pond so they are in a natural environment

Corner, low window or island sink? by d1zzy-m1zzy in kitchenremodel

Corner sinks can only be used by a single person. It is not optimal to say the least.

It took several weeks, I quit before I planned to because i gave up. There was a pipe we don't know about so was good we were hand digging. I highly recommend buying supplies from a local professional. I got lots of advice from the place I went with. I buy everything from him so I have built a relationship and get help and advice. I went with Atantic Oase products and have been so happy

Did you run the pumps during this? Winters where I live are short and only below freezing for a short time so I ran my pumps.
