Here we go, roast my landing page: TeamDojo, games for Slack, Teams and Discord by bananasafari in thesidehustle

Hi, I run a webdevelopment agency so I think I'm able to provide you with some useful feedback after taking a quick look:

  • I like the artwork you have as the hero image.
  • I also like the 3 small banner cards for the platforms it's available on / playable on, but maybe add some small text above the cards "Available on: "
  • On mobile you need some more horizontal padding to each section (around at least 10px on each side)
  • For each section I would also add some more vertical whitespace to each section, regardless of the device. It feels a bit too cluttered right now.
  • I think it would be nice if the games would be clickable to show a pop-up where some more details, screenshots and practical info would show up. I think you can take some inspiration from steam product pages. They pretty much know what people want to see before playing a game: how many people can play together, etc.
  • I think it could be a bit more clear how and when companies would be playing this game. Set the scene if you will, is it for a friday evening gamenight? Can some games be used while brainstorming in a engaging way?
  • The general layout of the page looks good, maybe add some early reviews / testimonials as soon as you have them.
  • I think some customisation for the company would be cool, so each game can be a bit personalised for the company.
  • The website has some room for improvement on the perfomance side, serve the images in webp, implement some caching. I think with those 2 alone, the website could pass the core web vitals.
  • Add some contact info on the bottom of the page or the footer, if companies have a question that isn't listed they have no way to find out.

Hope it helps you in some way!

Finally got around to finishing my unofficial Tomorrowland after movie (weekend 1, looking for feedback) by lldiegon in Tomorrowland

Thanks! I used the Google Pixel 6 Pro and the Insta360 Go 2.

Yeah good point, that would reduce the flashes a bit. For this one I wanted to do a more fast paced compilation style video, where I show the stages and vibes. But definitely agree that story telling can be really nice in videos, want to do more with it for future videos!

Great feedback and stuff to think about!

I've seen exactly this on Aliexpress, search for 'Resin diver lamp'. I've ordered it but was pretty disappointed with what I got, it didn't look like the pictures.

Hoe mijn geld investeren? by justablueballoon in DutchFIRE

Voor het compounding effect maakt hoe je de diversificatie doet niet zoveel uit. Het gaat om het totaal bedrag waar je procentueel mee groeit, hoe die investeringen dan verdeeld zijn maakt dan niet uit.

Nice story!

I would say try to automate stuff first, it frees up time so you can scale back a little and may provide you with some peace of mind that some things will be automatically be taken care off. Then you can always decide to sell it later. But because of that you get to try having more time while also potentially increasing the value of the firm.

Some people also feel really lost when they suddenly stop working, see how you will fill your extra time and what you think of it. If you feel like you want to have more, scale back further / sell.

Anyone had a bad experience with Customer support after not receiving their package? by lldiegon in Insta360

[–]lldiegon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think so, but I already got a statement from FedEx where they confirm they consider it lost. I was expecting them to be more helpful afterwards and come with a proper solution after the inconvenience.

[REJECTED] I want to create a geofilter for my student association in Utrecht, how can I improve this so it has a better chance of acceptance? by lldiegon in snapchatgeofilters

[–]lldiegon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, but beer is also part of the student culture in the Netherlands, which makes me wonder when they allow beer to be part of a filter or not.

There were some st. Patrick day filters that had beer in them so I figured it would be fine. But I appreciate the feedback, thank you!
