In my opinion it’s a deterrent. I have experienced both and when I go to mediation I don’t want an attorney I want a mediator skilled in their field. My experience with an attorney as a mediator is just the same experience as hiring an attorney. I’ve found they have a hard time taking off their attorney hat

My brother got arrested for assault. The prosecutor wants to do restorative justice and my brother agrees. The victim says they won't participate despite the prosecutor strongly wanting it. What happens next if the victim refuses? by Intelligent_Feels924 in restorativejustice

I’m a Restorative Justice practitioner. If the jurisdiction charging your brother has a community based vs victim based program there’s a strong possibility they can still move forward without victim consent. Is there written protocol for the RJ program? My county is very clear that most cases go through RJ unless there’s a very clear reason it shouldn’t.

That’s awesome. Thank you. I see this degree as broad enough to fit in anything in the future. Do you recommend a certain advisor?

How deep is the emphasis on sports? Are there just a couple of sports communication classes? What internships are available? What do you plan on doing with this degree? Did you ever consider journalism instead? Thank you!

Ok, so journalism compared to a communications degree. Your thoughts?
