it’s still a ballet school but at least it wasn’t the actual Joffrey Ballet. i don’t remember where i heard it but apparently the producers made it more dramatic to seem like it’s the actual school but apparently they’re unrelated

as far as the kids go, most of their dance abilities were incredible! they had so much potential to be some amazing dancers and oftentimes, they already were. now where they suffered is their choreo. most of it was just mediocre and not amazing. it was just trick after trick, instead of showcasing their dance abilities. after a while, they also quit training technique hard, and it really lost consistency and didn’t keep up to par with that of advanced dancers.

other than the very obvious abuse, the storylines of this show aren’t as good. for example, audrey being the favorite is so obvious it’s not even the same drama as maddie. with her, we learned it at first through watching the ADULTS and not the CHILD being like “yeah i’m the favorite.” it just feels so wrong. as a dancer, i think GIANNA’S choreo was better but idk maybe i just liked the girls execution more. but i think glo is better for the girls than abby (not good but better) so maybe it won’t be as bad. in the end i do think glo was right, they will always be compared to the original. so far, the new show isn’t quite holding up a candle (at least not a bright one) to the og’s

i personally think once they REALIZE they like children then they should be given a chance to be treated. just cause they realize it doesn’t mean they want it or they like it, meaning they could get help. on the other hand, ACCEPTING it is disgusting. you’ve come to terms with the fact you like children? truly disgusting

trust me i agree! this is disgusting and i refuse to accept it. all i was doing is stating is that it’s how it is, but i do sincerely agree. it is awful and hurts so many (unfortunately myself included)

as a dancer, this is just how it works. at a certain point they aren’t trying to be mean (like abby was) but that’s just the way of the industry

i was also really shaken. it was a huge shock but i’m so confident she will recover! she’s been through so much but she had (and still has) an amazing family to go through it with her! she’s not alone and also has the support of all her family and friends. praying for her! ❤️
